"Should we shoot that guy and girl who just crashed right in front of us?" "Nah, man. Look she kissed him. Let's just let 'em go."

Dumb mechanically, cool sci-fi

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I loved the scene with the not-speeders attacking the not-Empire's not-AT-ATs on not-Hoth while the not-Rebels struggle to evacuate.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I honestly don't like any of the new designs

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

What's with all the stupid bits?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

rule of cool

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would love to see a walker that looks like a hybrid between an AT-AT and an AT-TE. Medium height, bigger gun on top, only 4 legs, w/ head

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Would have looked much better. Some multi-missle or flak guns on the sides.

Han: "So... it's bigger"

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

with a big ass turbolaser in its humpback.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

groovy!

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love how it looks like it's walking on it's knuckles like a gorilla

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so its literally the exact same as the at-at except its a gorilla instead of a camel. great, nice innovation, rian johnson

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

It's also ludicrously huge but seems to serve no extra purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Probably has something to do with the giant ass cannon mounted on its back.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't get why they made the front feet the way they did. Lends to more unstable movement. But Disney has to make their own universe I supp

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Man, the Disney defense force sure is rushing in to defend this shit.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Is it really that hard to have different opinions without either being a Disney shill or disgruntled fanboy?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The hell is the point of the "gorilla paws?"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Original trilogy had robot camels and now we have robot gorillas

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah.My new favorite SW-gif. Just watched the movie 2nd time. Still dope.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I never understood why the laser cannons had recoil.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aren't all of the walkers the same thing? (Actual question, not too into Star Wars)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's different versions. There's the biped ones, the originals, a cargo variant, and this heavy variant. Could be more, I'm no expert.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a gun platform for that turbolaser you see above its head. That's its entire purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Those skimmers did nothing.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

PS: posting this now because if you say a thing except praise TLJ you get this

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Think that was kinda the point

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That was the point a little too many times.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No they did their job. They served to make the new order look pathetically incompetent. Every tense scene is immediately deflated like this.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which is partly why I abhor the new movies.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doesn’t it shoot lasers? Why the recoil?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They're really *strong* lasers.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Artillery, energy-encased projectiles

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

If it was shooting lasers you would not see a moving projectile - or anything at all, in fact. The target would just suddenly light up.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Must be a heavy laser.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not lasers - Energized Tibanna gas. It's mined off gas giants like Bespin.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

shooting super hot ionised gas which happens to glow. You can't see a laser unless it hits you in the eye

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plasma. Blasters are basically plasma weapons. Energy based, but still has mass and therefore recoil.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Designed to bring the power of a battleship to the ground, the M6 carries cables to cut the wire of anyone trying to bring it down. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Equipped with its own nuclear power source, the M6 is capable of generating its own power. Its front legs are more durable than AT-ATs. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is also made with more durable armor. It is truly an amazing piece of technology. 3/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anyone else want a star wars game in this art style? As long as it's not made by EA of coursem

8 years ago | Likes 134 Dislikes 8

It's not a game, but Mr Sunday movies just posted the finale to tlj all in 16 bit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't expect it within the next 6 years then

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Empire at war is close, a little HD'er though

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Not exactly the same art style, but you might check out Galactic Battlegrounds.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell I'd take any star wars game not made by EA at this point

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It looks like Metal Slug to me. And I think a Metal Slug style Star Wars game could be all kinds of fun.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not that it matters, I've seen so many people that have bought it that said they wouldn't.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

16/32-bit Star Wars? Hells yeah, sign me the fuck UP!

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Check out the GBA back catalogue, there should be one or two playable ones.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think I had one on Gameboy back in the early naughties

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Broke out my snes just to play the starwars games I have for it. love them and the unforgiving gameplay.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone needs to check out the Super Star Wars series for the SNES.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

See's it in new movie... auto becomes fav walker. Lmao. All aboard. Choochoo.

AT-TE is still the most practical walker design I've seen.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It was designed with legs to let it push through fields that would destabilise repulsorlift craft.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Low center of gravity ftw.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Even has a better main gun on it than the ATM6. The turret on the ATTE is a mass driver like a massive rail gun. Just has much weaker armor.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I remember an Eckhart's Ladder video showing the AT-TE gun failing to penetrate an AT-AT's thin neck armour.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Eckhart's is great, but not canon. A decommissioned AT-TE, with a cannon dialed down to not destroy the creatures the drivers were hunting1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

easily penetrated the neck armor of an AT-AT in the Rebels show. The AT-TE even used it's flexible middle to "crawl" up the front legs of 2/

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, thanks for the correction.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey I built a Lego one of these today

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

I recently built one myself. I'd love to get my hands on a reasonably priced AT-AT tho.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

If you're willing to shop "off-brand", Lepin have some really good AT-AT's. Regular one's €55, Motorised walking one's about €80

Fanboy tears? No. The tears of everyone who recognizes how much of a terrible clusterfuck that movie was.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 9

Messy yes but amazing overall imo.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

It just feels like no continuity, both with itself and the rest of the SW movies.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

I don't follow.
