Star gate,

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Ya where are the replicators that have the appearance and intelligence of a human?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Aren't they are way beyond humans?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't think the milky way ones are, but the Asurans definitely are as they have the Ancient's technology.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No Kryton??

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future? list fail

9 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 4

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where is that robot? I need more elf blood

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bubo is from *Clash of the Titans (1981). Wrath of the Titans was a 2012 sequel.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What about synths?

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Damn synths the best robot is Liberty Prime

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Totally not a synth

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WTF? No replicants? Mediocre

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 4

No Cherry2000 either. Sigh. Totally would have pushed Melanie Griffith out of the plane...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

replicants are biological though, right? I could give a pass, but wouldn't have hurt to include.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Technically they're Biotech cyborgs hence AI (remember that the problem is about them dealing with emotions and death)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In the book they were robots, in the movie they're biological. Incidentally, the first piece of fiction to use the word "robot" used it >

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

< to refer to artificial humans who weren't mech, either, just bio, but assembled in factories.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Um, Blade Runner?!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

In the movie they're biological, so not robots, unless we're going by the very first use of the word "robot" in sci-fi, then they are.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought the T-1000 was R.O.T.O.R. at first glance.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The MCP as well as Agent Smith are not robots.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 9

Reread the title of the graphic: "...and artificial intellegences". They are that.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Not even technically. Had to get that out of my system. ;)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

You sirs and presumably ladies are of course absolutely right.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Neither is HAL9000 or Cortana or about a dozen others

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Where's 2B and iPhone 9S?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Niche games are not loved as much as they should be ;_;

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

K-2SO?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Has he been freed from the Empire? Or is he just as brainwashed as before, but to a different cause?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No Enforcement Droid Series 209 from Robocop? For shame.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I loved those big chickens

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

would a piloted mech (jaeger) really qualify as a robot?

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Right? It's like my car qualifying as a robot. All these other entries can all function without a person directly controlling them.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nope, Jaegars are just expensive armor suits. No autonomous functionality, they require a pilot to operate.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought they required two pilots to operate? Granted, I've only watched it once a while ago so I may be wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Technically they only require one, though there's a very high chance the "neural load" will kill a singlepilot, which is why they use two.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I was kind of expecting a Gundam after seeing Gipsy Danger.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was expecting Mazinger or Tetsujin 28,but including them opens up a huge can of Japanese worms. We would be here all day.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. It is a vehicle. Oddly, KITT is not (just) a vehicle in this sense.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I'm sure him being an AI is what really puts him on this list.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It helps he can act independently too

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I find it amazing how Legion and EDI are on here, but the Reapers are not.One of the most convincing AIs ever written."I am Sovereig"*chills*

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, they are constructed from melted down sentient races, so ...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! I just finished a replay of ME1 about a month ago. That's probably one of my favorite scenes out of the series!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I plan on buying all the dlcs for two and three and replaying the trilogy when u leave college.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hear ya! Took me until the past few weeks to finally get the DLC for 3! A baby and crippling student loan dept, ftw!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha luckily I'm British so no fees for college. Need a proper full Time job first tho to get the funds to game :p. Hope the kids well :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't understand using the T-1000 instead of the T-800 that made the franchise famous.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, and the T-800 is more robot like than the T-1000, which is just sentient metal.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

T-1000 does qualify as being an AI though, no? But you're right. The T-800 should be here more than the T-1000.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scorpio, from SWTOR

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

HK is still better, but Scorpio deserved a mention.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lol they put K-9 but not Daleks or Cybermen?

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

Daleks (not 100% sure about Cybermen) are not robots. They'll elaborate wheelchairs for mutated Kaleds.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I now have a mental image of miniature DJ Khaleds inside each Dalek

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Neither of those are robots. Daleks are aliens in a metal shell. Cybermen basically cyborgs.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Technically, Daleks are in power-armour.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Though that also means Gypsy Danger should not be in this list.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yep.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Exactimundo.
