I'm building a typeface featuring cut outs of dinosaurs

Still a work in progress, here are the capital letters so far. I'm not terribly happy with the Y and some of them are a bit heavier feeling so I may play around with them to feel the same weight. But I'm super excited to see how this will turn out.

Started with some sketches and a concept word in upper and lower case. Some little scribbles from my professor but he was pretty happy with it.

Thumbnails of the capital letters. The next 7 pages are larger sketches to finalize the design some.

Done onto the grid paper. I scanned this in to use as my base for building up the typeface.

A little look at the glyphs file. Right now I named it prehistoric but I'm not set on the name. If you guys have any suggestions, I'd love to hear it!
Once this typeface is done, I'll have it free to download. If you want to be notified, let me know and I'll send out some links! It's going to be q couple months as this is just one of my ongoing projects for class

Cat tax. This little guy was our local stray, affectionately named Raptor after his broken toe that healed into a raptor like claw. My fiance and I had pretty much adopted him, putting out food and water. He trusted me enough to trim the mats of fur off his back. Sadly he showed up one day with bad injuries. I took him to the emergency vet where he was diagnosed with FIV and had to be put down. I just hope I brought him some peace.

I've never had an art related post get this far! I'm just trying to get through college and this is a nice little sign that I'm in the right field. Love you guys.
