Don't need to manage the cables if no one can see them.

Why do you attack me like this??

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Built my pc about a year ago with a window but no RGB cuz I didn't know what that was at the time. Still in awe everytime I stare at it tho

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is exactly the reason my PC looks decent inside.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine is the total opposite. My case is a mangled piece of shit but the cable sleeve is minttt

4 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

I spent a LOT of time making full custom length, sleeved cables. Never again. Fuckin choice though…

I’m curious why the downvotes?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i have no idea

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On my last pc build, it was like why does every case have a big clear window now? So everyone can see my big mess of cables inside?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's so you can see all of the

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I spent my limited budget on the best possible hardware, not on pretty lights.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. Keep it running and just work a little on cable management everyday as you go.

It's gonna be alright bro, we are here for you !

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I appreciate it, I think I worked through my shit and the mf just hits me out of nowhere

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Am I poor? I didn’t think so but the idea of a gaming pc in my life is laughable.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I built 2 PCs with tax returns, each costing just over a grand. I would never be able to pony up that much normally.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A pc like that is a luxury. You can build a pc that can handle AAA games decently for relatively cheap actually.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's a Lian Li case, $350 for it, I think. I tried it on mine but the airflow was horrible, for me at least

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s a beautiful case but yeah, the airflow doesn’t look the best. I’m looking at the Phamtek enthoo 719 instead.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That looks like a nice case. I got the Phantek Eclipse P500A case, the light on the bottom is programmable and looks good

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda. You're at least not "middle class" if you can't spare a thousand bucks for leisure every few years. Sorry you're in that position. :(

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's a hard no! building hardware: ~30min; water cooling: couple hours; cable management: multiple days, maybe a week.

4 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

Inside and outside the case. I don't want to see a wire when I'm at my desk. Cable managing my desk for all my external peripherals and 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

electronics took longer than cable managing the case. I do this for basically I own with a cable. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Multiple days ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

how can you spend multiple days on cable management but ignore parallel clause construction>?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

maybe because i'm neither a native speaker nor terribly interested in oxford-level english when i'm limited to 140 characters.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You guys have components to build a PC?

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

It took a bit of wrangling, but I did indeed get mine built 3 months ago

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have the components to build 7 pcs. possibly 12, if you dont include a monitor. Not sure why I have so many AMD A4/A8's laying around..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that and approximately 87 freeken S3 Virges!, 30+ 100base PCI network cards(some with integrated dialup modem!) and 200+ laptop hdds <=256gb

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I swear I threw out a box of S3 Virges last year, where do they keep coming from?? I quit systems admin 15 years ago! I drive a fork lift!!!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(Prebuilts are a really good option right now if you want the pc but are struggling to source)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Got my 3070 this way but lucky I was desperate for pretty much a whole new pc anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same, bought a prebuilt with a 3070 in it, and I’m very happy I did

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The end is in sight. Factories should be up and running early next year and we’re already halfway through. There are signs demand is 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Decreasing as well so more cards should get into the hands of gamers. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Plus with the newly built cards having a limited hash rate (I believe) they'll be less desirable to cryptominers (hopefully)

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We can hope. If not Ethereum is supposedly moving to a form that’s makes house less desirable on their end as well. We’ll have to see.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Used to be with my old case. New one is better built to handle cables and is orderly front AND back. :)

Pretty much yeah.. those lights tho.. Why do we have to put LEDs everywhere now?

4 years ago | Likes 577 Dislikes 14

Because, why not?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I suspect it's a fashion inspired by novelty. Like most fashion, it will go out of style eventually. But what do I know?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well.. we dont :P my pc is tucked away behind my screens because of one teeny tiny LED on the MB that is like a beacon of Gondor at night..

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Geh is trendy now... All kinds want to be trending...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I have 4 ram sticks with RGB and my PC was boot looping, when I was checking components one of the sticks was out of sync on it's RGB 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

That's what told me where the issue was. Totally not intentional design but cool regardless. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

I always try to murder out my system. As few lights as possible and if I have the option mesh for airflow and no glass

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because companies think we want it and they can put higher price tags because of it?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's the future! Lots of neon lights and tubes!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dunno, but my raccoon brain can't get enough of them. It's like junior high, when I had all my light-up shoes and Lisa Frank pencil pouch.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember when black cases came out as an exciting alternative to beige.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because more RGB = more fps

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

It's was the opposite for me, my RGB program consumed like 16% cpu, I just turned it off.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My self-built boxes have a couple switched LED strips along the inside to inspect without a flashlight. Otherwise, I guess just for show?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cheap, low power requirements and people like flashy shit

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I'm part crow, I love flashy shit.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have all of mine set to a nice blue, and my motherboard is too old to have software control, so I closed the remote in the back and will

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

never change it. I'll do something similar when I finally build a new PC.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Especially ones you can't turn off... my living room looks like a disco every night.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

we dont. some ppl like generic RGB. i prefer hue lighting that i control precisely to set the mood. my computer doesnt have to be part of it

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It gives a level of on-the-fly customization to make a computer more personalized, and most who go through the trouble of building a fully>

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They even have them on sticks of RAM!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

They have them on SSDs and even cables

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

NGL I've seen LED cable builds look really cool.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I just do red. Screw the other colors.

puts a strip of LEDs behind your monitor, to create a glow around the screen, and your eyes will thank you when gaming at night.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now? That's been going on for 20 years.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I like pretty colors

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

because aEsThEtIc

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't have to... Idiots with no taste do. Computer must be silent, invisible and just work. It's not a piece of furniture or art ;)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it can be done tastefully

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because am pretty and sparkly and it's okay if things are pretty and sparkly as long as those things are not vampires.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont know why everything has to come RGB lit now. Id honestly pay extra to NOT have that on normal products.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only light on mine is the RJ-45 port.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna go ahead and blame Linus

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The second response was "thats just how stuff comes, and I don't bother to turn it off its such a hassle I hate it but its there"

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sie sind leider geil

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because people like to put leds on their stuff. No one is forcing you to buy leds.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Its often difficult to find non-LED versions of products in stock, and when you spend an hour turning it off... a power outage resets it on.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Same reason people lift their trucks, lower their cars, blast their stereo, get a loud muffler, halogen lights, or underlighting.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Nah, it's more work to put together a high-end build without LED lighting than it's worth.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So... it's a penis thing?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

First PC build: this. Second PC build: black box.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

there just wasn't the option of LEDs when I built my first. so I'm making up for lost time now.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My current pc is just a black metal box, but all the sides can be popped open to reveal the circus show that is going on inside

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why put a spoiler on a honda? Because some phd's in marketing conditioned you to think your life would be complete by doing so.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah, when I built my last machine I had to really hunt to find parts that DIDN'T have glowing LEDs everywhere!

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

same, the salesperson at microcenter kept trying to pint me to the RGB lighting stuff. i just said to them (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"this is sitting in a box next to my desk, nobody's going to see this, not even me." (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The water pipes. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Water cooling is certainly efficient to cool and looks neat, I just have very expensive parts and I'm terrified of a leak ruining everything

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And high end air coolers have come a long way. Usually cheaper with similar performance.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the water pipes. liquid cooling. good luck

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you. This is going to be my first liquid build so I’m researching as much as I can to mitigate the chance of something going wrong.

weird... what gpu you got pal?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING X TRIO 16G. The LEDs are integrated right to the PCB itself. There's nothing to unplug.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I upgraded my PC a few years back, the non-RGB version of the exact same memory actually cost about 15-20% more at the time.

Are there any Razer mice without LEDs? Or at least LEDs that can be turned off?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Razer is the Apple of PC peripherals, you pay extra for the brand and leds are part of the brand.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, and they are hard to find. Source - viper 8/death adder mini

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can turn off LED on razer mice in synapse i think

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Razer Synapse, all you need to do is set the lightning effect to 'None' and it disables the RGBs. Works on the mouse and keyboard.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

God that program is so bulky.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, you can just set them to black in the software

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You see why it's annoying that I need to have software running for components to disable flashing LEDs right?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

It'd be real simple to buy a mouse from a company that isn't Razer tho

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do you need a razer mouse tho?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

The DeathAdder elite is one of the only large mice I've used that's decent. All those tiny ass office mice were cramping my hands

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the trinity. Good for basic use and the swapable side buttons are nice for jumping into a game without plugging in another mouse.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, I don't need a personal computer either though. Gotta shop around to find stuff without LEDs these days.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I use a Logitech g305. Relatively cheap and the only light is on the tracking speed switch

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Turn brightness to 0.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

You mean by installing software?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you wanna turn the lights off gotta install razer synapse.
