So rubber tipped equals imaginary. That makes no sense to me but then again, my sword does not have a rubber tip.

Because fencing is just practice/play fighting, it’s not actual combat. Thus, you aren’t in an actual fight any more than you are in a real battle using a sword to kill monsters in D&D
