Between the suppressed appetite and the anxiety-diarrhea, my recent goal of losing a pound a week has been succeeding beyond expectations!
My last day is scheduled for 1 month out, and I am absolutely willing to exercise my right to walk away on the spot, if the boss can't behave themselves; I'm not taking time to tidy up for *their* benefit.

"You're firing from both ends! Your sick Bob! I'm the nature master now!" (quoting from memory I could be wrong)

That sounds like a horrible situation. Usually, in cases of abuse, leaving is sudden and needs to be so. Often, the abuser will try and prevent the victim from leaving.

This person is the living embodiment of "People don't quit jobs, they quit bosses."
OhIfIMust
Oh, they've tried. I laid down the law and have ignored all of their attempts. Things are quiet for the moment, and if they remain so, I should be fine. I'm still drawing pay, after all. But I will fuck RIGHT OFF if they start acting up again.
Greymalum
Best wishes and good luck!

why a month, just do 2 weeks and whatever mess is left behind isnt your problem
OhIfIMust
There are people who will be harmed if I nope out right away. I've set very clear boundaries, and right now, the boss is doing *okay*, but I will most definitely yank the Loud Handle if that changes.
friendsofsandwiches
do they REALIZE this, or are they just playing nice for the moment?
OhIfIMust
Probably both: I haven't yet threatened it, but they've had so much fucking turnover for so long, they can't NOT know that I'll do it.
MrSpookywasagoodboy2
Nah just leave. Any business that has a high turnover rate is not a place to work. Take a few people with you if you can.
OhIfIMust
It's very tempting.
