When i was a teen, i had a teen phone line. I used to phone downstairs & ask what was for breakfast. Mom also used it to wake me up.

I "ping" the hallway when I get in. By which I mean I say "Helloooo!" and see if any come back.

Also, a Facebook Messenger group helps. Even if we're in the same room. "So. Anyone for tea?" *bink* *bink*
