"DC begins removing 'Black Lives Matter' plaza after pressure from GOP"

I wish all the workers tasked with removing the sign refused to do it and went on strike. But they would be fired on the spot and replaced immediately, right? And not their fault to begin with, they are just making a living.
F*ck, man. This is just BS.

This lowers the price of eggs, right?

Imagine calling people who cannot take being questioned snowflakes while forcing the removal of criticism you disagree with. Welcome to Trumpism hypocrisy. F!$& this us vs them bullshit, we are supposed to the the UNITED States and not the Red States of America.

Part of the point of a real strike is you don't LET them replace you. Picket lines aren't just for show - they're meant to stop the scabs.

Its a pity we've lost sight of the fact that peaceful protest is not replacing "not protesting" - it's replacing violent protest. Getting rid of the peaceful mechanisms is inviting back the violence.

Fuck Bowser for rolling over. As if this will prevent them from trashing Home Rule anyway.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Next best thing is they do such a piss-poor job of removing the markings that they're still perfectly visible, just in a different colour

Let's be honest. It was a terrible name for a just social movement, misleading, and begging to be bogged down in pedantry. I doubt the motivations to remove it were good, but we can do better anyway!

Oh, now that there is no more Black Lives Matter, certainly my diabetes meds will cost less!!! Wait? They're more expensive? But there are only two genders now /s

But our dear leader will make groceries cheap on day one! (You know, that one day he wants to be a dictator). Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that bastard's done that actually helps the average citizens of our country. Everything is tailored to help those who don't need assistance, and prevents those same entitled rich folks from having to pay for any government assistance program (no taxes, either personal or corporate).

Another chapter in America's big book of racist, white supremacist, history.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Seems like id be a shame if those protests needed to start again.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

They don't matter to Republicans. No matter how many "Blacks for Trump" voters try to convince themselves otherwise.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am american, am white, and also pissed

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Me too. There's no need for this. And it's wasting taxpayer dollars
Maybe I should adjust my W4 form, to where I don't pay any taxes before taxes are due. Make them wait for the funds I owe them... even if it isn't much.

The “need” is the limp dick gop needing to show how big their dicks are

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Republicans are making their point VERY clear. Black lives (to them) do NOT matter.

1 year ago | Likes 142 Dislikes 4

no one matters to them unless you are either already a dictator or a billionaire or both

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This is the real answer. Unless you are wealthy or politically influential, you are an expendable peon to be used up and thrown away. No lives matter.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So....what if "vandals" come and repaint Black Lives Matter on the road? Or even more stuff?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Make sure you cover the cameras in the area first, so nobody knows who did it

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe add some hydrophobic coating too

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If only there was a way to make it absolutely clear that Black Lives don’t actually matter to these people…

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It's paint on the ground. The spirit doesn't go away

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

It's the fact that they are erasing it. It tells us it doesn't matter anymore.

I think we need to cover the whole area with BLM graffiti, continuously, until they give up cleaning it. This is our country

Seems to me this is COSTING money, not SAVING money... so the only reason to do it is racism.

1 year ago | Likes 354 Dislikes 4

DOGE not saved any money so far , not likely to save any , its not its role anyway despite propaganda telling otherwise.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. Nazis tend to be rascist.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I believe this is costing about 600K to do from what I've read. Over half a million spent on petty, racist hate.

We should leave up those statues of traitors to the nation though…

You gorget the Reason this had to be installed in the first place was #45.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Of course it's racism, but the added bonus for the GOP is that it wastes money.

are we really surprised? putting it down there to begin this was as helpful as " thoughts & prayers" a pick me type of attention but no real benefit.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

imo it does have meaning. Seeing the messaging on something so permanent and by an official body can sway people that need swaying, and can comfort those that need comforting.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

that makes sense, but it always just felt like an easy way to pretend to appease people when they ask for more structure in systems they could just bring up the fact that they painted a road to share the message, which is great for awareness but not actually resolving the issue.

Glad to see they’re cleaning up that train wreck scam. Too bad

Ah, yet another fart from the Masterbating Race.

Did you mean to comment this here, instead of a post about a burning Tesla dealership?

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

No I meant to comment this lol only speaking the truth.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Weird. Because as it stands, it makes you sound like a racist liar.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The amount of money people took from that for their personal gain. Get out of your safe space and do some research.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I have. The path you’re on ends poorly for you, in an unmarked ditch. Just like the Nazis and the confederates before you.

It’s up to you to think for yourself someday. Hopefully you get there. If not, maybe I’ll show you some things my grandpa did.

Not just returning to the scene of the crime, violating the 1st (religion and speech clauses) and 3rd amendment, but destroying the scene of the crime.

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 6

...3rd? Who's being forced to house soldiers in their homes?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The preacher lived in that church, it was her home. Trump, as commander and chief is part of the military, he personally was the troop quartered. He did not order the violation of the 3rd, he personally violated it.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

POTUS is explicitly NOT part of the military; despite being Commander in Chief (not "and") he is a civilian. Might want to look up what "quartering" means too.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Applying the same logic to the 3rd as other amendments, specifically relating to detainment and trespassing, even a moment qualifies.
Commander in chief (DYAC did it to me again here but I do m caught it) is part of the military, yes a civilian but still part of the military, the civilian part makes it so he is not required to engage in combat and the troops under him are not his personal troops
As he did this directly leading troops in an armed engagement that qualifies as war under the Geneva

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Conventions, it is clear that he did this in his military roll of commander in chief.
Ah, but that gives him an out. 3rd doesn't apply during war.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Church? House? Trump living in it? I read the article, and am confused about your comment. Nothing in it that mentioned any of these things. I could use a little more context if you'd be so kind.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Traitor ordered the DC Army National Guard to break up a lawful protest with no notice and kicked a pastor out of her church so that he could get a photo op of him holding a Bible upside down.

That is the (immediate) incident that naming the square Black Lives Matter Square is memorializing

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lives_Matter_Plaza https">r_Plaza">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lives_Matter_Plaza https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_photo_op_at_St._John%27s_Church An interesting read. I'd never seen the whole timeline layed out before, but your claim of violation of the 3rd seems specious. While the pastor WAS removed, tump never entered the church, (Trump did not enter the church during this appearance.[124]) and was only on the ground for 5 minutes (7:06-7:11). Still an atrocity, but not a violation of the 3rd.
