What kind of weird PT gear is that? Also, heh, Rainbows. I forgot about that.

I just missed the gas chamber when I was in. As detail I actually got to paint the building.

W..what's in the gas chamber?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Candy

Tear Gas. They teach you how to wear the chemical gear, then put you in a chamber to show you that it works. Then you take off the mask.

When I was at Lackland, we had these ratty old wool blankets (probably from the US Army Air Corps) which left lint *everywhere*.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Always had that scratchy feel like it had micro Steele wool.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

still have those. same ones i had when i was there a year ago

Congrats OP! I'm thinking about joining after college—trying to choose between Army and Air Force.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Air Force all the way. My dad is retired air force and from all the people he met. They would say air force treats their people best

Well I am biased to the AF but it is up to you. I will say that I have heard AF has the best living conditions.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is true but I'll graduate with a master's in occupational therapy and the Army has the clearest career path laid out.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Congrats. I have been in over a year now and Im glad I joined!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good for you! Hearing things like that just make me want to join up even more. :)
