It’s OK—the Ukrainians will help them promote a bunch more missile cruisers to submarines shortly.

making the russians pay in so many ways. i almost feel embarrassed that the US was even ever concerned with russia. they are losing to our... not even old stuff, but our really old stuff that was handed to mostly untrained civilians and solders at the start of the war. and ukraine was already kicking their asses with russias even older stuff. i dont know how much longer russia can continue. their pulling out ww2 stuff and just throwing untrained civilians out there now

Right? The supposedly formidable ruzzian bear seems to be rather toothless. Their highly vaunted hypersonic weapons that nothing can shoot out of the sky are being taken out by 20 year old Patriot defense missiles! About the only thing ruzzia has going for them are their nukes and there's discussion in the kremlin about how not all of them are operational...hence why ruzzia pulled out of the SALT treaty because they need to make a few tests to see if they actually work!

Nukes. That’s why we feared them.

As Stalin illustrated, quantity has a quality all its own.

I was in the US Army during the end of the Cold War... we got to play with their equipment in the end and it was all primo-grade garbage... hammers to get vehicles into gear, rust everywhere, troops with almost no training and nothing maintained... we were trained to fear the Russian bear and it was only cuz it had a lot of nukes.

Russia has Ukraine outmanned and outgunned and they are very low on artillery shells. Ukraine has brave soldiers and good equipment from many countries but has taken heavy losses. Unless Putin dies or is killed, Russia can continue this war for years, unfortunately.
