Jfc if you're gonna idolize someone at least do it with someone who makes their own shit. Last I checked the only billionaire actually making their money was Swift and I don't even like her. And she's telling people to vote!
It says a lot about modern politics that she's telling people to vote (just vote, not vote a specific way) and the Republican Party wants her to die. It's like they know more people voting means they'll lose.
Exactly. They and their voters hate her like we hate musk and all she's doing is her shows, dating an nfl player and enjoying it, and non-descriptly telling people to register to vote and exercise their duty voting.
Musk is openly being an asshole and trying to hide behind politics when people get mad. She's just being an entertainer and encouraging people to let their voices be heard.
Seems that the judge is right, apparently "anti-woke" investments are not faring that well. On top of that, the environmental neglect of non-woke firms is going to repay us all. Fucking idiots.
The meme with the king hints at one possible way. Among Musk simps I can often observe behaviour that is reminiscent of Monarchists. Thus reactions to criticism are often quickly met with what looks to me like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A8se-majest%C3%A9 or blasphemy.
That is the biggest thing I have against trump supporters. There is no way he would invite any of his followers to dinner or even listen to what they had to say. Hell, I have money on the fact that he probably mocks how stupid they are.
As I understand it, it's like this: they negotiated a stock option deal, Tesla's shares soared massively after a couple of years, stock options are now worth a fuckton, he exercises his stock options. If a judge can now say...no...no, let's not do that, then what good are stock options? Also, a lot of tesla employees got stock options and made them millionaires...do they face the same fate?
it's akin to tribalism, you see the same thing with sports, or racists. They decided to see him as a leading figure, now that they have chosen their team, they don't have the mental "fortitude" to change or do without, so they'll defend this manbaby until their last breath.
I know a guy, small time entrepeneur, but fairly successfull a his level. I think he feels they are alike. Also, he reads a lot of Elon-biased propaganda.
I have thought about this for a while, and here's what I got. I think when they look at someone like Trump or Musk, their "success" and what it takes to achieve it is inconceivable to the human brain in the same way astronomical scale numbers are. They see a guy called Dolon Mump in the club getting a bj by two hotties, and then they slippery-slopey-think that "Wow, that guy totally fucks, if I gang up with him and wingman for him, I'll be getting bjs in the club in NO time". So they simp 1/
hard for the guy and execute their plan, thinking that they're actually working to better their own life. They run around the club and tell every hottie how amazing Dolon is and why they should totally come over to their table. A haggle of hotties show up but most are not impressed, and leave. One hottie stays and Simpguy thinks "HELL yeah, I did It, I secured a hottie, it's bj time." Before he can get to loosening his belt though, Dolon is calling Simpguy a pedo. The third hottie straddles 2/
Dolon's face and Simpguy sits in the corner, making excuses for why this didn't work and altering his approach in the hope that it will work. He will continue this cycle until his failures are frustrating enough that he gives up. This whole thing happens because while his human brain can conceive of what it takes to set up a mom&pop store in a small town, his brain cannot understand what it takes to build and run something like Walmart. No one can, that's why they hire 15 levels of managers. 3/3
To be clear, there are tens of millions of Tesla car owners, who cannot stand this man. EV purchases heavily trend Left, and Musk wanders towards the outer edge of the Right, not a lot of shared ground. IME, most Muskophiles are billionaire worshippers/libertarian leaning folks.
Zero sympathy or respect for any Tesla owner who bought one after he started his transphobic, white nationalist path. They are showing they support him with large sums of money and driving around billboards showing they support him.
Not a fan of Musk, but I own a Model 3. Probably the nicest, most reliable car I've owned in 25 years. I also think the reusable spacex rockets are amazing, but I only associate musk with them in name only. He's not out there building the cars or rickets himself, no different than Henry Ford and all his controversies; he wasn't on the line hammering out the model T's fenders either.
His other companies have heavily redundant management structures designed to insulate him from the actual running of the company. He gets to play with the company and feel like he's in charge, but he can't actually touch anything important.
Twitter (not calling it X) is what you get when that's not there. He ran it into the ground through a combination of having no clue what he was doing and refusing to listen to the people who do.
Not sure about that. He sure was a good PR to launch these companies towards success. Yes, he was the man with the checkbook, not the guy doing the actual job, but remember that at the time, NO ONE believed in electric cars or reusable rockets. He did. And now everyone wants to make electric cars and reusable boosters, and that's because he proved that was possible. But for some reason he decided to treat all his other companies as silly toys, and of course they ended as abject failures.
Both Tesla and SpaceX have dedicated Elon-Handler teams that keep him away from anything operations. Twitter is what happens if they don't have those teams.
Oh, I'm not denying he's a pain to deal with, but he also brought a lot to both these companies (probably because he was handled correctly by the internal team, yes).
Genuinely asking: is this true? I feel like Tesla gave EVs a boost but a modest one. They're selling like hotcakes (I live in California and they're EVERYWHERE) but I don't get the sense that Musk had an outsized impact on EV adoption. But I could be wrong on that.
Tesla did make EVs cool, but it really dropped the ball. The Cybertruck is terrible and even many Teslas are badly built. Saw a video on here semi-recently of a brand-new Tesla, in the rain, with water leaking into the car.

Also note, the ~11 billion tax he paid, was because of this payment package...honest question, how does that play out?

And we can no longer count the posts that spit on musk here

It's amazing how many people willingly throw themselves between Elon Musk and valid criticism.

Musk is a twat! He would have been a twat even if he was poor. His wealth just makes him known to more people globally as, Elon-the-twat.

seriously, why defend somebody making that kind of money, especially when you would be insane to think they care about you as a person.

We got ours as a hired company car. I was highly against supporting that travesty of a so called human being but our options were limited.
