I'm particularly worried about Republicans from other states emulating this. I don't think this guy stands a chance in a California gubernatorial election, especially not right now with even some of the previously hardcore MAGAs angry at Trump.

Chances are about 50-50 right now that he and Hilton lock Dems out of the general election entirely due to the jungle primary. Too many mid-profile Dems running, and none of them are breaking away from the pack.

I'm really really worried about my state's governor primaries.
There's like, only two Republican contenders, and something like TEN democrat contenders.
In primaries the party doesn't matter. The two with the most votes moves forward, and last I saw- none of the democrats are dropping out.
So now the two Republicans (both are gross people) are leading and any hope of a democratic governor is split between TEN people.

And with California being a large democratic vote historically- this is going to be all American's problem come Midterms.. and if Midterms turns red again, it'll just add on to the world as an "everyone" problem.
California needs to rally at the booth, cause we have this sheriff, a republican pretending to be Democrat, and then the other (R) who was an Oct7 denier... and then 9 other fucking contenders.

Not sure why youre getting down voted. Youre absolutely right. While were sitting here citing laws, the fascist are going to continue to do laps on us while continuing to break any laws in their way. "Fascism has an in group which the law protects but does not bind, and an out group which the law binds but does not protect." We are the out group, only we suffer legal consequences. Debating law with fascist only helps them. They cannot be reasoned with, only deprogrammed or killed.
