It could be a ploy for sympathy/pity votes

Can you blame me for being skeptical at this point? If he survives, he'll probably, in the same breath, play for sympathy, say it wasn't that bad (even if it was) in order to downplay his sever negligence for our country, AND argue that the election should be delayed as a result. This skepticism brought to you by: living in a freaking dystopian nightmare the last four years.

I dunno. Those"undecided people" at the CNN watch party, 2/14 went for Trump AFTER that travesty. I'm not taking anything for granted.

I can buy it being a play for a delayed election but it's a risky ploy for sympathy since it proves his mismanagement of the pandemic.

The election has never been delayed, even during the civil war. If that's truly his plan I think he'll be very disappointed.
