The Republican strategy is to create disasters, Bush jr. had 2 wars and a economic "recession". How can someone be a Republican President without bombing several countries and trashing the economy.

Ironically, he's probably made the world a safer place.

Because of the massive distrust all countries now have for America and Israel, obtaining nuclear armament is now going to be a justifiable reality. How many times has North Korea been invaded since arming themselves?

Mutually Assured Destruction is more or less a guarantee of peace. We can't keep letting one entity be an eternal bully, and I say this as an expat living in the Middle East.

Trump's daily briefings on Iran are two-minute videos of airstrikes from the previous 48 hours: https://www.nbcnews.com/now/video/trump-gets-iran-war-briefings-through-strike-video-montages-u-s-officials-say-260043845527 He "doesn't understand" why he isn't getting a war bump, and thinks if people saw what he did, his approvals would be higher. We're being led by a toddler.

Meanwhile, much of Asia is rationing fuel and natural gas, and shortening work weeks to get through this, because they got nearly all their energy through the strait. This includes Egypt, Kenya, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, and South Korea. We've barely started the 2nd year of this 4-year trashfire. And at this point, I don't think he & his cabinet even care about their own party anymore, just their historic grift.

For the business class, spiking prices is a good thing because then they make more profit. People need gas, because that's how they have influenced our infrastructure. Yea, some people won't afford it but that's less money lost than the amount they gain from the price spike, so they don't care.

All by design.

You forgot "Trump told Iran he wanted to talk and then bombed them instead."

Don't forget he made Barren rich through predictive market precisely timed bets

AND IF Trump is finally successful, he will have finally achieved -- what Obama gave him as Trump started his first term: an Iran that's not trying to build nuclear weapons.
That's not winning, Trump voters. It's a double-tap of losing. It's a dumb guy doing dumb things because he's stupid. Like you.

Don't forget about losing the respect of every other nation on earth and simping to Israel to bomb school children.

The respect bit happened when he was elected the 1st time, and Israel has been bombing children for years. Both predate the timeline in the post.

Art of the deal…goes with all the bankruptcies!

Don't forget he is also purchasing from Russia again as well

Raised prices not only for the US, but I am not surprised that Americans don't give a f about the rest of the world.

Strait. It’s a strait.

You're forgetting the bit where his son became major shareholder in a company that makes military drones days before the attack.

Unlike Hunter Biden, who was an accomplished lawyer before he took a job in a Ukrainian energy corp, the tRump boy had no relevant experience or qualifications.

Blatant nepotism & corruption.

That's the family grift? The best deals ever.

By the way, I hope we see y'all at the No Kings protests this weekend, in 3000 locations nationwide. Check https://nokings.org BEFORE Saturday so you won't miss your chance to be part of the largest protest since the 2003 protest of the Iraq War. (Sound familiar?)

Trump didn't write the Art of the Deal any more than he was working as a steeplejack when they built Trump Tower.

The only kind of jack he is, is ass.

The strait was open before he started bombing, BTW... Now he's spending 2 billion dollars a day trying to open it back up again

8 hours ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 3

And then he'll blame it on Biden/dems/liberals/trans/etc

2 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That 2 billion has the money that I was forced to pay in taxes. I did not authorize this use of my funds.

*we, you and me are spending!

We’re so close to insurance and education for all, just one more war to stop all the wars

No sanction on Russian or Iranian oil and Chinese ships are allowed to pass freely. The strait appears to only be blocked for some specific countries (i.e. the U.S. and its allies).

The US still has allies? Not too many folks in Canada consider the US to be an ally. Think about that...the storied longest open-border in the world, who has been there to help the US in dark days, we are NOT an ally any more.

In addition even once relations are repaired, the world will always be extra cautious of the US because if we could elect someone like trump twice...what's stopping us from doing something stupid again in the future?

We have only our peanut turd (Geert Wilders) simping for that Orange turd.

Those with official treaties and pacts. If other nations broke ties officially and denounced the US they'd get oil.

Iran is now letting Spanish ships through because they refused to let the U.S. use their bases but it would seem that the rest of NATO hasn't taken such an obvious stand yet.

"Yet" being the operative word. It's probably going to be happening more.

UK did, at first, but relented.

8 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not too many Canadian ships going through there so it's hard to tell how they feel about us. We already have our oil.

8 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Carney openly voiced support for bombing Iran so you can take a wild guess as to their feelings about us.

6 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He recanted.
