Had to torch the pins because they were soldered in.

Success at punching through!

Just a pellet gun scope untill I can get a good one on it.

A pellet gun scope won't last more than a few shots, if that.

I know. I just put it on to get a feel for the overall look of it. I plan on getting a decent scope for it in a paycheck or two.

This isn't "technically" modifying it. So much as just adding a mount. If It didn't have the solder this would have just been a punch job.

That usually means that the original pins fell out and someone replaced them.

It kinda depends. back when they were mass produced they started soldering them to keep the sights more secure.

Also, is that a long eye relief scope? If not, it's going to be virtually impossible to use in the configuration.

No it's just a pellet gun scope I slapped on to see how it would look. I plan on buying one for it when I can afford it.

Leupold has some good options. Pistol scopes work well too.
