My Warboss, First Mate Grotsky

Apr 16, 2017 8:28 PM

First HQ I have ever painted, I am very happy with him. C+C appreciated!

Striped pantaloons!

Before shading, picking out bolts with a silver color, and assembly.

Head was painted on a stick.

Before deciding what colors on the details and whether I should do the eyes.

Before painting tax with Chief Mekaniak Scrapjaw. Grotsky is primed in grey.

Nice work! Interested noobie question: are those rare? And how does it cost to begin painting? How much time does it take to do it?

HQs are your leaders, so I put extra work into him. Painting varies depending on the unit. A squad of Ork Boyz can take a few hours. 1/2

An HQ or a unit you are paying a lot of attention to like a vehicle can take much longer. This guy took a full day. I use Vallejo paints 2/3
