Just a thought

Didn't vote/can't vote. Legal permanent resident speaking here. Honestly though, he is representing the entire country and making huge global decisions. Wishing him a bad presidency, will likely be a bad outcome for the country.

Also couldn't find the right meme for this... Awkward Moment Sealion will have to do. :)

we're not wishing it, we're fearing it will be as bad as he says he will make it

I only hope he fails in plans that will hurt use. But my hope might not be enough.

This metaphor is literally the worst, think of it more like a C.E.O

If I see you holding a dry ice bomb in your hands, I'm not wishing ill when I scream "omg wtf are you doing throw it away."

Not ill-will. It's fear, disgust of cabinet appointments and his all around disrespect for anyone unlike him..

There are better pilots on the plane. If it goes down let the better pilots take over. Orange man doesn't even know the preflight checklist

what about all the Abti-Obama people? They did it through all of his eight years in office?

We are the trump train now. Only way is forward. A few may try to throw logs on the track, but we will just keep on going.

straight over a cliff.

I wish people would have done the same with Obama and stuff might've got done.

Forget "people," if his own *goddamn party in Congress* had stood with him we'd not be where we are today. Thanks again, DLC.

My hope is that a third party of moderation will spring up in response to this all.

I do believe we're headed for a phase transition. The question is, will the Ds or Rs or both split, and how will it anneal back to 2 parties

As a student of history, I am curious.

No he's not. He's the rude obnoxious intern at the office, who everyone hopes screws up so they can fire him on the spot.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

That still doesn't make sense to do. The best thing to do is vote for Senate seats in November.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sure, but having a president that doesn't veto against important shit would be nice

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't fire him. There is a process. A process which the Republican government is very unlikely to go through.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I know, but it's a more accurate analogy as the president works for the people, and not the other way around.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Theoretically, yes. But that doesn't match the reality of how it works.

Tbh, I'm not too worried about T and his group. Their hands will be tied and their actions will be under microscope the likes of which 1/2

has rarely, if ever, been seen. I don't think they understand that yet. Between the Dems in Congress and the UN, the worst of their 2/3

ideas will doubtfully happen.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Can you elaborate? Why would a republican president with a republican congress and a chance to make the SCOTUS republican have hands tied?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I mean these people are being watched globally. Their worst ideas (ie. defunding all climate research) won't be allowed to happen. I'm 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sorry, I'm missing it... who globally is going to stop them. They don't need global agreement to act nationally.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

of the opinion that while they might have support from the Congressional majority, they do *not* have enough global or national support.
