Back in those days, how would they prove your speed? Radar technology was still very far away.

They'd have a measured mile and a stopwatch, and then they'd figure out how fast you were going, and radio it to a car ahead to intercept.

Probably 7 mph. A lot of small towns back then were speed traps.
