I’ve been working remote since way before the pandemic. The amount of people who think I’m just on vacation is staggering. It’s like, yeah, I’ve managed to just, not work for a decade and nobody’s notice.
my dude with the pinkish avatar, you voted for an utterly unqualified celebrity and you're worried about other unqualified celebrity wannabes in his administration. incompetent cronyism is what you voted for, you did this
Vivek and the immigrant Elon are going to cut a government department that is subtle but vital and a shit ton of people are going to wind up dead or with their houses and businesses destroyed.
Not talking about possible problems that Americans will face in the next four years because "they haven't happened yet" is the same attitude that has caused climate change to be a major issue. No, let's talk. Let's make plans. Let's figure how we're going to help people that are being targeted.
Relatively new hire to a government job, the second they announce a return to office is the second I start looking for a new job. I know it's coming with a republican trigecta, and they don't care because their goal is to shred the federal service.
It's amazing how conservatism is a death cult and a hate group. It just goes to show that these idiots never, ever thought about the consequences of their actions. "I voted for Trump but..." But what, you dolt? You thought that he was not going to be the absolutely disgusting warthog he's been his entire life???
Getting nervous about something that hasn't happened yet? It's called anticipation of harm, someone pulls a gun, points it at you and threatens to shoot you, why are you nervous? It hasn't happened yet, you only need to be nervous after he shoots you. Oh you're dead? No need to be nervous then! /s
They plan to just ask Trump to use executive order to do what they want. It gets worse than this little snippet, but I could only post one at a time. Imagine joining the Navy and swearing an oath to defend the US from all threats foreign and domestic, and then voting for the guy who is working overtime to deliver our country on a silver platter to the Kremlin.
As a former service member, I have a *really* hard time looking at voting for Trump as anything less of gross dereliction of duty. We swore an oath to "defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic". Trump is, without any shadow of a doubt, an enemy of the constitution.
It's probably good that I'm not in the military anymore. My "military bearing" would be sorely tested on a daily basis.
I am genuinely astonished that the current US Military has not taken direct physical action against the clear domestic enemies that the Republican party has become. Them not doing so seems like nothing less than a clear dereliction of duty and an abandonment of their oath of service.
The fact that the military hasn't taken any action is a clear testament to the fact that they hold their duty to the Constitution clearly, actually. The military is subservient to the people, and the people, in their infinite stupidity, keep choosing traitors. The real test comes in January.
On the upside, the military is made of people and not mindless automatons, and we are very specifically trained that it is our duty to disobey an order that we know or have reason to believe is unlawful

Note that Elon Musk works 3 jobs that all require in-office attendance 60+ hours a week in 3 different cities hundreds of miles apart.

Anyone know what "GV" and "RA" mean in this context?
zFUBARz
Remote Access Maybe for the second one?
thorinc
I figured out RA is Reasonable Accommodation, i.e. someone who needs modified work duties or environment due to disability.
Never did figure out GV, though.

Goddamned Veteran? Actually I think it's designation similar to GS (for government civilian employees) which designates a Pay Rank?

Thanks for the update

I believe that has now happened when he made a Russian ally director of national intelligence.

I called one guy an oath breaker for voting for Trump. He didn’t appreciate it very much. I don’t appreciate him breaking his oath, so we’re even

Imagine imagining swearing an oath has any sort of impact or value. Sign a contract instead, it's longer lasting.
