Nearly one month after a Minneapolis fifth grader stopped showing up for class, with no word from her family, the missing girl was seen inside a sprawling immigration detention center in Texas that is holding a growing number of immigrant families.

Officials at Valley View Elementary School in Columbia Heights told The Washington Post they feared the worst after the girl’s family wasn’t answering calls while her school-issued laptop was sitting in her classroom, untouched, for weeks.

It wasn’t until two of her schoolmates — brothers in second and fifth grade — were released from the same Texas facility this week that the school got word that the missing girl was inside with them.

The brothers were detained in Texas with their mother and recognized the missing girl inside, according to Valley View Elementary’s Jason Kuhlman.

Enforcement’s Dilley Immigration Processing Center reportedly holds more than 1,000 families, including young children, according to lawyers and advocates representing immigrants inside.

We (as in the citizens of the US) are gonna have to liberate that detention facility in one way or another, aren't we.

I also heard they’ve been having Measles outbreaks at these centers. Knowing the poor quality of food and water they are given and how one kid had to visibly vomit his guts out and pass out in front of them before they took him to the hospital and removed his inflamed appendix, I worry for these kids.

She's obviously a hardened seasoned rapist and killer. I mean they're only taking the worst of the worst RIGHT? /s

Even their own documents show that was a lie. They're ordered to go after the non-criminals first. The intention is cruelty and terror.

I have never seen him even one fifth as angry as he got in the last quarter of his latest video. Except on Bluesky. He gets a little upset on Bluesky sometimes. But honestly the goal of this regime - and let's all start calling it what it is, a regime - is not to "own the libs" but to install fascism as a way of propping up capitalism that has failed in this country **AGAIN**, make already rich people even richer, and figure out how to keep Republicans in sole power forever.

There is not much left to say about a regime that puts children in detention camps and shoot citizens in the streets. I doubt there are enough upstanding U.S. citizens left to end this, which means the remaining free world in the longer term will be lost as well.

There's more than enough upstanding citizens to end this. Even if you combined ICE and the entire army, we still overwhelmingly outnumber them. The problem is that many people are much more worried about paying their overinflated rent or putting price-gouged food on their tables so they don't starve. Others are waiting for "permission", which is becoming less of a problem lately.

Good point.

Does our culture have the courage to hang 30,000 ice agents beside the toppled regime heads? Do we have the courage or will we fail and fall?

Is this like all the 'paid protestors' that keep showing up to the thousands strong 'libby protests'?

Man, I better open my head up. I might have circuits up there! -_-

After we clean house and topple the current regime, then we can put them on trial in a fair environment and hang them if need be

Doing so before that point makes us the same as them, killing indiscriminately with no proof other than someone said so.

There will be a great deal of death and violence before these people step down.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. Yes there will.

But we don't need to become the very thing we're fighting against either.

To topple a regime you have to use violence, they wont just leave you know.

I never said not to use violence. I've been saying we'll have to fight for years now. It's going to be bloody.

That doesn't mean we need to turn into the monsters we're fighting

I don't feel that hanging known gestapo is "turning into a monster". If they're ICE, they are guaranteed gestapo. It's an easy choice. It would be a deterrent tbh. All the ICE killing this year have been long-term agents, they are all the monsters you mention.

Hanging them after a *fair* (and not in this current corrupt) due process trial - absolutely if they're proven guilty (of which I have little doubt)

It's the people calling for it to be done without due process just because they say they're ice.

The lack of due process ICE is doing now is a major part of their threat. They can do what they're doing to *anyone* because they just "say it's legal" at their choice. If we start doing the same, no matter the reasons, we are no better.
