Topher Grace was cast after the show's creators saw him in a high school play he did with their daughter. He had never acted professionally before. Topher was a guest star in the final season of the show. He left to film Spider-Man 3. Topher was slated to be replaced by Seth Meyer's younger brother, Josh. The idea was to say that Eric returned from Africa a changed man, and that's why he appeared different. The producers eventually decided that Topher's fans would be offended by this, and introduced Josh Meyers as an entirely new character instead.
The actors could not stop laughing during the filming of the very first circle. Ashton Kutcher was barely able to get his lines out. His uncontrollable laughter during the episode was real.
The actors all agreed that filming the circle scenes were the toughest. A camera located in the middle of the circle would rotate quickly between the actors which did not allow for any hesitation or mistakes while delivering their lines.
The car that runs on water was a running joke on the show that began in the very first episode. It was mentioned again in the vey last circle.
The original casting director for That '70s Show resisted Masterson's audition because at 22 he was older than the rest of the cast. However, the director changed her mind and ended up loving him as Hyde.

While Laura Prepon was Eric's girlfriend on the show, off-screen she dated Danny Masterson aka Hyde's brother, Christopher Masterson. Christopher Masterson played Francis on Malcolm in the Middle.
Kitty's characteristic laugh was a laugh Debra Jo Rupp nervously let out during the filming of the very first episode. The show creators loved it so much they asked her to make that Kitty's signature laugh.
Wilmer Valderrama was a senior in high school when he got the role.
Fez, originally Fes, stood for Foreign Exchange Student.
Wilmer's dressing room was the closest to the set, and ended up being the place to hang out. The cast regularly had meals, played video games and relaxed in Wilmer's dressing room. Mila Kunis randomly decided to doodle on the white walls of the room. At first Wilmer was worried they might get in trouble for this, but the walls ended up covered in autographs and doodles from not only the regular cast, but visiting stars like Bruce Willis and Brooke Shields. When the show was coming to an end Wilmer stated that having someone paint over that would be "painful."
Laura Prepon is actually a brunette.
Mila Kunis was only 14 when she auditioned for the show. The producers were looking for an 18 year old. When producers asked her her age, she misled them by saying, "Well, I'll be 18 on my birthday," but did not say when it was. She was also blind in one eye. This made blocking (an actor's positioning on stage relative to other actors and objects) more difficult for her. However, she hid it well.
Jackie (Mila Kunis) and Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) were one of the show's main couples. They were merely friends while filming, but began a relationship years later. Kunis and Kutcher are now married, and have a daughter named Wyatt.
Lisa Robin Kelly, played Laurie, Eric's "slutty" older sister. Kelly was on and off the show due to a drug problem. Though a fan favorite, she was eventually replaced due to her addiction issues.
Sadly, Kelly died from an overdose in 2013.
Chuck Norris was the initial choice for Red Foreman, but was still filming Walker, Texas Ranger, so Kurtwood Smith was cast instead. The series was set in Wisconsin; Smith was the only regular cast member who was actually from Wisconsin.
Debra Jo Rupp's hair was fried after just one season of filming since it had to be curled meticulously every day. She then wore an uncomfortable wig until season 8 when she finally convinced the producers to let her character have a new hairstyle.
Bob and Midge had three daughters. A never-seen older daughter named Valerie off at college, Donna, and the youngest, Tina Pinciotti (later written out).
Kitty is somewhat of an alcoholic, with a passion for kahlua. Despite being a nurse, she was also a smoker. Kitty's cigarette smoking was slowly phased out after season three, due to Debra Jo Rupp kicking the habit in real life.

What a great show.

Always thought the reason they wanted Jackie's actress to be 18 was because she would be making out with Kelso. 14? Creepy.
