But this was actually quite amazing.
It's a true ipa, but the hops are more of an accent than demolishing your mouth with the power of Pinesol.
42 bucks for the 4-pack though.

Dogfish Head was a funky bar and sort of brew pub opened back in ‘94 or ‘95 by friends of friends of ours in Rehoboth Delaware. They soon became our friends as well. The bar reminded me of ski area bars; lots of wood, beer, drunk food and a small stage for local bands. It still has that vibe, sort of. They brewed great beer. Boston Beer Company owns the brewery now, but Sam and his wife still own the restaurants and the Inn. They’ve become “comfortable”, so the rustic feel is mostly gone..

I too, for the most part, am over IPAs.

Indeed, and it's not syrup like the Avery's. I was wholly impressed.

MAN! I haven't had a DH 120 IPA in years. I should see if I can find one again.

If you lived in the Denver metro area I'd pick some.up for you!

I'm a handful of states away unfortunately, thanks though.

Day 635: No thanks. Not today.

Hey, I love that for you! I'm sure it didn't, but jic, apologies if it hit you any type of way.
Cheers to a thousand!

Thanks, OP. Sometimes being reminded that people are enjoying their beverage gives me that nudge that maybe it's okay for me to go back. Maybe this time it'll be different/ I learned my lesson/ I've changed/ I can handle it now etc. After all, it's (xmas/ birthday/ other special occasion) etc.
But I already tried all those rationales, and just nope.
So instead I see a post like yours as an opportunity to remember how far I've come, keep the count current. Pat myself on the back. Good job, me.

42$ is too much. Like way too much. I don't know where you live but holy shit that's high. They're about $20 here for the 4 pack. Some groceries stores sell single beers something and you can ring them up at self checkout. Scan a cheap beer but bag the expensive beer.

I agree. I wouldn't pay this much again, but I had the extra treat money and wanted to try it.
I also have a pretty good relationship with the small liqour store near my place, so i wouldn't play them like that, lol.

Fair. It's usually faceless corporations that have the single beer set up anyhow.
