This movie stars Timothée Chalamet as the young King Henry V as he rises to power and eventually triumphs over the French at the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. The film does a lot to showcase the struggles that Henry experiences as he tries to navigate a court full of sycophantic and manipulative war mongers bent on war with France for their own gain. It's a true period peace and the actors, setting, and gravity of the film all pay due diligence to the era. There are also swords. Lots of swords. As a big fan of swords and movies featuring swords that are not terrible, I must recommend this movie.

I don't think you'll regret it!

Was Henry V the dude that got an arrow in his face during battle and just "Fuck the arrow" and continued fighting?
WhiteKnighted
Damn, I don't actually know, I'll have to look that up!

That's him. He has no such arrow wound in the film. The small, incorrect scar here is unexplained and there's no Battle of Shrewsbury.

Just finished The King on Netflix and it was fantastic :)

Yep! It's a great movie, big fan. If you haven't seen it yet you might also like The Outlaw King.

How was Robert Pattison in it?
WhiteKnighted
He had a fairly minor role but honestly he was good.

His French accent kinda turned me off it tbh but I’ll give it a watch I think

They should have talked actual French in their scenes together like their real counterparts would have.
