Hey guys, check out my awesome new paperweight! Now, some of you may be saying, 'hold up big guy, that's a computer processor', and you'd be partially correct. Until yesterday it was a brand new i5 3.4mhz processor, that is until I attempted to install it into a motherboard that wasn't compatible. See the little corners and how they're bent up ever so slightly? Now it's a brand new, $220 paperweight. Pretty sweet right? On another note, anyone need a slightly used processor and motherboard? Still have the packaging. All sales final :-)

Is that some new Quantum processor thingy? I mean, these days, running on only 3.4 Megahertz, it needs to do some magic to be competitive...

No worries, it's just an Intel.

if you're going to spend that money and not even take in account that they may not be compatible then you deserve it

Di you bend it?

Yup. Corners bent up and cracked the underside ever so slightly.

"Hey everyone I don't know what I'm doing but I'm going to gripe about it anyways!"

Gripe? You see me complaining? Blaming anyone but myself? No. Just a stupid mistake on my part that I thought would be fun to share.

Right?!

Why would you not look to see if the socket type of the processor and motherboard were the same?

Socket? What's a socket

That was the point. Got a haswell on the way now though.

1155 ≠ 1150.... Come on, OP!!! That's an Ivy Bridge proc, and I just KNOW you tried to stick it in a Haswell slot. -_-
