This is Colt. We're remembering him because he was an important dog.
Colt's first family lost everything, jobs and home, and paid a surrender fee that was money they didn't have to make sure he went to a rescue instead of a high kill shelter. Unfortunately, the rescue that saved Colt closed. Colt ended up in the Atlanta Beagle Rescue, and was there for 8 months.
Finally, Colt was adopted, and hit the forever home jackpot!
Colt learned tricks, like holding the biscuit until he was told he could have it....
It was all very tiring.
Still, Colt would open his house to other dogs from the rescue when their fosters would need a place for them to stay...
...whether he was happy about it or not.
But things didn't stop there. Colt was incredibly happy in his new home with his second chance on life.
AMAZINGLY HAPPY!
Enjoying car rides...
...sitting on things for no reason....
..or even just relaxing.
But when it was time, Colt would put on his shoes...
...get dressed and go to work. Colt helped raise over $10,000 for the Atlanta Beagle Rescue, impacting countless dogs, and letting them treatment that meant they would have a normal life in their forever homes. That's the difference that one dog can make.
Help keep Colt's memory alive.
