My wife's jar opener uses off-the-shelf jigsaw blades which makes sense from a manufacturing POV.
I looked at it and said "wow, those look like a jigsaw blade."
Looking at the back, it's clearly a pair of jigsaw blades embedded.
Makes perfect sense from a manufacturing point of view; why reinvent the wheel? Just buy your blades in bulk from somebody who has the right equipment.

Yup, they are jigsaw blades. Have the same one.

Put pointy part under a little grove under the lid and let some air in. Lid opens easily.

You can also make a big exhale. It activates the same muscles you need to open a jar: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/eD8UyEH9Pv8

Only helps if you have two working hands, or I guess are sitting and two thighs and one hand

I have one that you can operate even if one hand is impaired. Lay on top and apply pressure to break the vacuum.

The one the op posted is designed to be secured to the bottom of a counter, cabinet, or table so it too can be used one handed, and with a lot more variety in possible size of the lid, including like a screw on bottle cap
