i found a guitar i had been wanting to add to my collection for some time. didnt care much fro the paint job so i did this:

Before.

really wanted to stain it and call it a day. but i knew i'd regret never finishing.

thin coats

Air Norton and D Sonic

later i ordered an Ibanez decal to finish the headstock

didnt like how it was turning out

started over with the outline as a frame.

filled in all the colors

outline back on top to finish it. so anxious to see Link finished, i made a hasty mistake.. got some bad over-spray on the eyes and face. fixed what i could without back tracking so much...

Add a pin stripe for a lil binding

she is riddled with mistakes. and i love every one of them. i've never done anything like this before. very fun experience. and still proud of the outcome.

Wired up.

i installed the pickups "upside down" (the way John Petrucci does his) with a coil tap to get this rather unique configuration:
1: full neck pickup
2: neck in series (for that round, out-of-phase sound)
3:both pickups together
4:the 2 outer most coils (like a Telecaster)--great sound from these pickups
5:full bridge pickup
it makes this guitar very versatile. what i need since i will be playing it ALL THE TIME.

while i was waiting on the guitar to arrive i made this on paint. i didnt think i would actually ever try this.

finally, she is set up in C# standard (to jam along with one of my favorite bands). one of my best intonation/action set ups ever. the Edge Zero tremolo made it easy c:
and a 45 second video of me breaking her in.
