Almost every time an ad shows up the app freezes. I don't mind ads, but I do mind the app freezing every 2 minutes.

Edit: The phone isn't freezing - so its not an underpowered phone issue. The app is freezing.

never happened to me.. but since the last update the feed isn't working

that is what mine was doing. I uninstalled it then later in the day reinstalled it and has been fine since. Worth a try

I have a really slow, shitty Android phone. Only 2g ram, yet this site seems to be just fine.

it's the ADs fault, usually malicious code runs in the ad, imgur app is fine, one can't know what add will be loaded

If that were the case then it should do it for everyone

I always see people complaining about this, but I have never had this problem. I really don't understand it at all.

It's because people are trying to run it on phones that either have way too many apps open already or are underpowered

I find having weak connections are a big problem for phones. And the imgur app is heavily reliant on connections.

how can a phone be underpowered for an app that puts jpgs on a screen

Bad programming, memory leaks.

Anyways, its not a phone issue - I just close the app and the phone itself works fine. Its very clearly an app issue.

Do you understand how computer memory works? A program uses a specific amount of memory addresses. Either a computer can run out of them...

...or what sometimes happens is that 2 programs try to use the same memory address. Which results in a crash
