If anything ever deserved a film to correct an awful ending...

Dexter

That last season was painful...watching one of my all-time favorite shows essentially phone it in was a gut-punch to say the least

Should've ended after the first season, honestly. The first season ending was one of the best I've ever seen.

Surprise motherfucker

When the show ended I was really upset but not because of the ending but because I missed all the characters, one of my fav shows

By my count the series ended at season 4.

The finale aired in parallel with Breaking Bad, and its ending was as bad as Breaking Bad's was good. It retroactively ruined the series.

I am rewatching the series now - into final season and just despise everything that is happening.

I can't bring myself to watch it any more. I loved it, and it shat on me.

posts like these are why i can't bring myself to finish watching the series.

Do yourself a favor, and stop after season 6, if you can. If you can't, do not go beyond 7

Stop after 5.

I quit after season 4. Everything was so far fetched & I couldn't suspend belief enough to pretend that boney assed Debra was attractive.

I never understood how anyone could find her attractive - her facial expressions where so jagged they could probably cut through phone books

The desperation she projected as an actress made me disinterested in her character. I was actively rooting for Dexter to kill her.

Agreed... explaining it to fans that don't want to watch it is pretty funny though.

I don't remember how far in i was, but have avoided the ending because of bad reviews. What even happened?

Essentially nothing...iirc he went to Canada

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What? Why? I got to shortly after deb kills whatsherface. At no point did it look like he was gonna leave

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Deb dies, he abandons his son, leaves him with hannah, fakes his death, moves to canada to become a lumberjack.

Spoiler alert*

I liked the ending for one. Dexter is a psychopath, and as relatable as he may be, he is still a psychopath and his decisions are totally>

Incomprehensible to the other 99.9% of us. I think thats the point of the ending. We'll never truly underatand it, or him.

Spoilers!

I watched until they killed off Rita. So please, what happens in the final season that makes it so bad?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Two Words: Lumberjack Dexter. Enough said.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hurricane coming to town. Deb gets shot! But is OK! But now is a vegetable! She was just getting mentally free because Dex was leaving.

Hannah gets stuck with Dex's kid. Dex dumbs Deb's body in the ocean and drives into the hurricane. Boat is completely smashed to bits.

But then you see Dexter and he is bearded and in Canada. Credits roll as you hear "He's a lumberjack and he's ok..."
