You're only supposed to kennel train for so long...

Don't?

She doesn't have to know that you're the one who called...

Do it

Dogs need exercise and companionship - if you don't do something it will have a miserable existence

do it

10hrs? Put her in a crate and see how she likes it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

TIL Imgur is full of snitches.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Do it, some people shouldn't own pets this pisses me off.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dafuq? Either call or go batman on that bitch

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do it. Even if they can't find enough to do anything, at least you would have tried.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Crate training puppies is normal /to break bad habits from separation anxiety like tearing up you property by chewing etc. 10hrs is too long

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It cries in the crate. A lot. I understand she has work and school and sometimes you can't make it back in time, but she's gone overnight.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Talk to her about it and explain how it's inhumane. Watch her response and use your best judgement 2c if she listened or ignored your advice

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Btw dogs dont shit/piss where they sleep. My guess the dog cant hold it for 10hrs. Do the right thing and stop the abuse.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure it pisses on a blanket in there because she does laundry about 6-13 times per week.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Maybe she pees the bed. But seriously, if the dog pees in the crate, then she leaves it in there for way too long.

Bears are like dogs, except they are beary powerful

As a landlord I have had to do it multiple times. It's the right thing to do, especially if the tenant is leaving them for more than 8.5+hrs

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Last week she left overnight for about 16 hours by my count. The problem is I rent to her but I live in the house too. I'm pretty sure she(1

is over at her boyfriend's but dog's aren't allowed there, even to visit I guess.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

If you have free time you could offer to walk it, them decide from there

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I get ya.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm her landlord, I'm travel a lot for work. I don't have to take care of a pet and certainly not one that isn't mine.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Maybe she wants to get rid of it, but doesn't try. Offer to ask your friends if anyone wants to rescue it, or to talk to no kill shelters?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She doesn't want to get rid of it. She's just neglectful and inconsiderate.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

For everyone saying to do it, I can't afford to lose a tenant right now and I've been traveling so much for work to find a new one.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

You can call it in anonymously assuming you haven't confronted her about it yet she probably won't think of you.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've mentioned it to her, that the dog cries for hours when she's gone.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did she sign a lease for a specified amount of time? If she did, call the humane society anonymously and if she breaks the lease it's on her

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If she breaks the lease she loses her deposit and I have to go after her for the months following. I can't afford that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Dang :/ then I think the obvious only step is a well staged runaway using a dog whistle! But in seriousness, I'm sorry about the situation.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do it!! That's not right. I hate it when people have dogs but don't have time for them.

11 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Yeah, me too. It's why I don't have a pet, I'm not around enough. It's just really hard to find an alternative that doesn't end with me (1

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

having to find a new tenant.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Them losing their pet shouldn't affect their rental agreement. You can report them anonymously.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I own the house, she rents a room. I think that it'd be pretty shit to have to keep living with her for 10 months keeping my mouth shut.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Unfortunately it's either let the dog suffer all day long or keep your mouth shut and have the dog go to someone who will care for him...
