When you can't take scissors on a plane with you

Sep 15, 2017 12:45 AM

So I am currently working on a wedding gift for some close friends, and I have a very small window in which to complete it. This is my progress so far!

I'm on a 5hr flight today, and I figured I could get away with the needle, but not the scissors.

Solution? Mini dental floss!

We flew three weeks ago, mother in law had a GIANT pair of scissors in carryon, TSA didn't confiscate. Even got free precheck on return trip

Can't use nailclippers?

I did think that, but unsure if they'd be sharp enough, and airport security can still be a little iffy about them.

Ive been in a place before where we couldn't have sharp objects. I learned to crochet there and got used to breaking yarn with my bare hands
