It's here! This is the first time I've ever preordered a game, I'm 40; granted pre-orders weren't a thing until recently, but I've never pre-ordered, until now. I'll be disappearing for the next 2.5 days & missing a lot of sleep.

I also enjoy the Metroid franchise, but LOZ has a much stronger pull on me; I still haven't played Metroid Dread yet, despite it being well received.
This is where it started, I played this on NES when I was significantly younger, it was awesome, and there weren't internet spoilers or leaked copies, just conversations with friends when one of us got stuck or didn't know how to proceed, and of course Nintendo Power magazine. I still play it every now and then, same goes for a link to the past on SNES, I need to get a copy of OOT again; my N64 was lost to me some time in college when my parents gave it to one of their friend's kids without telling me. Wonder if Nintendo will put out an official emulator N64 box like they did for NES & SNES, I've actually never played on a game cube, so I missed out on Windwaker.
I wonder if anyone will understand this reference in like 20 years completely out of context.

The classics are definitely the best. It's been a long journey since NES.

Windwaker is great and you're missing out. Wii had backwards compatibility with Gamecube, you could have played it there. And it was re-released on WiiU. I got ToTK today too on preorder. I'm 43. My first was Link to the Past on SNES. NES wasn't really a thing in UK missed the first couple.

Day one update ;-) I'm working my way through some of the games I missed, Windwaker and twilight princess are on the list; might buy a 2nd hand game cube. Skyward sword will probably be next since it has a switch release, I played the links awaking switch remaster/adaptation, it was a fun semi-linear dungeon crawler, regardless I'm going to immerse myself in TOTK.
