RIP Lotus

Several years ago, my sister tragically died, leaving me with Lotus. As my last link to her, I did my best to take care of her, brushing her nightly. But Lotus was already a good eight-ten years old when she came into my life, and sadly in the last month (and maybe longer) kidney issues kicked in. Medicine did not work, and seeing her not eating and staggering around today made me decide it would be best to return her to my sister's care.

I'll miss you, Kiki (the name my sister also called her). May none of the cats in heaven think you're weird for liking the smell of cleaning chemicals.
