It started as "Let's keep the two huge ones around, they deserve a second season"... I count 16 plants now.

Pepper Plants are perennials, which means they live for many years if you keep them around. I've seen plants with stems as thicc as my forearm. These all had a horrible season, yet many of them produced delightful peppers. They deserve another shot.

So far I don't see any Aphids. I did spot some Fungal Gnats, which are being taken care of. Unless something worse got into the soil, it looks good so far. The green ones in the back got cut back just the same about 6 weeks ago, yet despite next to no light and water, they feel like it's the perfect time to grow and flower.

Fingers crossed I'll have a great head start next year.

How do you recommend dealing with the fungus gnats?

Easiest way is to let the top 2" of soil completely dry up, which you should anyways during overwintering.

I had a nice, thick chili bush growing on my TV. One night it jumped off the TV onto the sofas, shredded it's leaves and tossed most of 1/

it's chili peppers under the sofa. My cat was as baffled as I was about it, and we never solved the case. 2/
