It specifically looks like the north part of the point where you emerge to the ring's surface for the first time. I remember trying to go there with a Wasp looking for collectibles. Don't remember if zone was accessible tho.
I mean, did you think a meteor landed smack dad in the middle of a tiny island? It certainly would not raise the seafloor up that high on the sides of a crater.

That made me want to Google Earth the location and while it doesn't have a street view, there is a photo of people sitting in a bar and all are wearing what looked like winter gear. The lifelong amateur meteorologist in me would like to know what that island's climate is like, most likely slightly cooler and more maritime-like than the likes of Tenerife and Canary Islands but pretty much constant all the year around.
It's pretty much at the same latitude as Madrid and New York but most likely feel the effects of Atlantic low pressure systems. I can imagine it experiences very little variation in temperatures being in 15 C to 20 C zone all year around.

Curiosity got the better of me, so for anyone else; it's a postmortem volcano caldera, not a meteor crater as I first thought.

I'm gonna guess sheep seeing as it would be hard to farm at that angle. I also think I see sheep in the bottom left.

Pretty telltale when you have what looks like a mountain that got hit by a meteorite!
Not saying it couldn't happen, but the odds are pretty slim

Thinking more like massive impact crater but ocean levels charged over years, yadda, yadda
