I have ptsd and it’s been years of just surviving. I’m tired. I want to do more than survive for once. I know that it takes time, but it’s been so long. I’ll keep surviving in hopes that I can do more one day, and because of your extra encouragement.
I have been in chunks. I have a really good therapist and some amazing friends. The hard part is that I keep getting into situations where I know what I need to heal, tell the people directly helping me day to day (my parents) what I need to heal, and they just kinda shrug it off and then tell me what they think I need to heal. Every time it is just enough to be slowly and painfully healing, when they could easily help me to be in a situation of more rapid, and constructive healing.
My friends went to Japan for the month and paid me to house and dog sit which has been super helpful with being able to redevelop independence. They also gave me a key to their house to keep if I need to ever get away. Thank you for your extra extra support. *hug*
