I couldn't agree more.
I went on a rant about pet mills and stumbled upon this reddit post which I felt clearly described the situation of pet mills and mistreatment of animals for mass production.

PaliQ
My problem with puppy mills (beyond inhumane conditions) is the fact that they over breed and inbreed and end up with sickly animals that
PaliQ
usually suffer some sort of deformity and often take sick and die after being adopted by a caring owner. Farms and the like have regulations
PaliQ
that while might not prevent overcrowding, at least do their best to keep the animals from being inbred to the point of having six legs.
PaliQ
They lie and sneak and forge papers, and the animals languish and die if they're not adopted, and are sometimes drowned on purpose.
