Nostalgia level 1995

Just found this gem in an old box... Torn between giving it a try again or letting it stay dead so to speak, don't want to ruin the fantastic memories of playing it as a teenager (assuming the disc even works after all this time). Opinions?

If I learned anything from replaying space hulk, do it. Even if it’s terrible by today’s standards, it can still be fun.

I still have that for the Original PS1 - both still work.

Play it. Kick ubisoft in the nuts and show them you OWN the game.

I played the sequel, Dark Omen a ton. Was really bad at it when young. Tried it again several years later after being honed by more modern RTS titles such as Red Alert 2 and Warcraft 3. I got a lot of enjoyment still out of it, but controls were unrefined (would be even worse now) but I found it hilariously easy for the most part.

Would I try again now? Yes! It will be different enjoyment, but it's essentially like the battlemaps of Total War, just on a smaller scale

I wish the Skaven were in 40k.

Don‘t. Games evolve, you will miss so much QoL improvements since 1995 and while we all say that graphics don’t matter - they do.

Sound advice i think... I don't mind old graphics at all but the QoL stuff is big.

If it doesn't work, you can get it at GOG for 6 bucks https://www.gog.com/en/game/warhammer_shadow_of_the_horned_rat

JFC, Games Workshop does not let go, do they? Was thinking it might be abandonware at this point, but no! :D

Eh, you're mostly paying for GoG to port it to modern systems.
