First off, he was arrested on suspicions of providing confidential documents to Epstein, not because of his pedophile background. Which f-ed up. But that's better than nothing and him walking free.
Now, will he face any jail time? Doubt.

Not holding my breath, but the internet tells me crimes of misconduct in public office CAN at the utmost lead to life in prison. Misconduct in public office is a part of British Common Law, which means that it's not a specific law but rather developed over the course of legal practice.

Well, he’s experiencing jail time right now, and will be until he faces a judge in a day or two. The upside to corruption charges over rape charges is that corruption is actually taken seriously once it gets exposed like this.

also. some of his corruption charges involve 40 prostitutions on a tax funded thai vacation. There is going to be splash over into his sex crimes.

Another thing is that this is gonna give law enforcement a whole other trove of email history to match up with Epstein’s. Who knows what will shake out of that.
