To put it in perspective, if Canis Majoris replaced the sun, it's surface would reach to the orbit of Saturn. Also, we'd all die horribly.
It be over so quickly you wouldn't realise. Sounds a neat way to go. Being burnt alive in a bread oven, you was sent in to clean is horrible
Sounds like an evil grandma kinda problem

Scale and agency. If you can't affect anything then your not worthy of even being a footnote then everything is meaningless.

Ikr, there's plenty of shit right on our doorstep that does that for me
But people affect things in their lives on a daily basis. Just because you can't control the universe doesn't make your life meaningless

Once people learn the scale of the universe, they realise that everything they have ever known and experienced is incredibly small -
By comparison. We are never going to experience the magnitude of the universe in our lifetimes so why not just explore what we have so far.
- so small that it's not even comparable to a bacteria on your rear on the scale of the universe. And then they tend to realise our life -
- span isn't even worth a second on the scale of the universe. Being horrified or feeling insignificant is a natural response to it really.
