Speckled Trout Portrait

I'd paint on this for an hour or two a night. Started 2 days before Thanksgiving and finished on *December 15th 2014. (*went back and corrected his eyes on the 18th)

The BASIC blue (upright) and red were purchased in 1997. Somehow they have not turned into plastic rocks.

I forgot to take any photos of the boring blank canvas and sketching process. Who wants to see a blank canvas anyway?

I would prefer to paint this first but I wasn't exactly sure what the guy wanted back there other than " ...Just paint the ocean."

The source photo was blurry cell phone shit so his eyes were completely blacked out. I got another photo of him and I was able to work some color in them.

The lighting in my garage is not conducive for good photographs. Especially with a point and shoot.
