So I know this is pretty tame for today but I thought these little guys are weird enough to be shared today
Neat ants right? Well actually they're spiders. The more common name they have is The Kerengga Ant-like Jumper, hints the name yes they are a jumping spider, but they don't hop around much only when it's vital.
These spiders mimick Weaver Ants they'll even move their two front legs to simulate the appearance of antenna and are basically weaver ants neighbors so they can sometimes eat the ants but also to avoid predators mainly because apparently weaver ants taste like garbage so they're off the menu for most predators. And yes the phallic thing on their face is their jaws and yes they open them vertically as shown but they can open them very wide and will fight each other with their hulking jaws to impress a mate.
