There are folks who want to treat the theft of packages off of porches as some kind of bland, victimless crime.
No. It's a big deal. Taking a package off of a porch can be a life altering action. And we need to be extremely heavy handed when it comes to dealing with it.
Fortunately, the insurance company is going to cover the replacement of the missing medication. But it's the general public who foots the bill for the theft of goods, as it just results in higher prices.

This seems like one of those things where they should be delivering to a 24/7 pharmacy and have parents pick it up.

Definitely a big deal, but only expensive because someone needs it to not die.

The kid should get the thieve’s kidney. Even if it doesn’t match. Keep it in a jar. Justice.

shouldn’t have to come to saving up for something like that for half a year just to stay alive. Don’t be a dick; theft is never okay.
jefffffffffffffffffffffffff
Really. No adult signature required?
ChipCheese
Doesn't help. What if the adult is working? They can't be home at all times.

yes. this is a big deal. and it's horrible. i take transplant meds as well. i will never trust them to be mailed to me even though i am
DVS2012
almost always home and i'd get 3 months worth at a time instead of just 1. i drive to the hospital for them. they are that important.
DVS2012
i dunno about kidney meds, but my liver ones have to be taken every day. simply trusting them to sit outside like that for even 5 mins is
DVS2012
just beyond my realm of comprehension... like, WHY!?!? and those meds are supposed to be for your child? just foolish
DVS2012
the hospital i have to get them from is 2hrs by car both ways and 3+hrs by train both ways... and i have to wait for trains... i still go
DVS2012
get them myself
