I'm white, but I always wished I didn't have any skin at all. I wanted to be a robot.

36 y/o here... Still wishes that!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an extremely broad man I wish I was a little more narrow, and also had fat fuckin’ tits

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As a white kid I did the same.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

As a white kid I wished I was a transformer

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When I was growing up I wished I was a cat, eat, sleep and prowl.

As a white child I have always wished I was black. I equivocate it to wanting curly hair instead straight. You eventually learn to love you

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a white kid who grew up in a barrio... I still to this day wish I was Hispanic. I think it’s all about what you learn is “best” as a kid.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Coworker is Bolivian xplant, her boys are white, blue eyed, blonde, no accent. Getting bullied at school for being Mexican. 2nd grade.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All these white people claiming they wished they were black shows how we don't always understand what that entails.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

I'm white and that shit is tops. A1 100% fucking great. 5/5, would recommend being a white male. Definitely best META build.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I assumed if I were black like the kids constantly beating my friends and me up, that they would stop.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Remember watching the Kris Kross - jump music video on MTV, as a full on white belgian kid. I so much wanted to be black.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Im adopted. My mom's white.Once as a kid filled the bathtub full of bleach because I wanted to be her color instead of black. She stopped me

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you went a bought a bath tub full worth of bleach?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Two jugs. With some water I'm not an idiot

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

White kids do it too. I think it's a little more common than this is leading to believe. Racism does suck tho.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

Hey this is a deflection of a white person not seeing problems racism has had on BIPOC. Please read “White Fragility” thanks.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

Actually no. I still think racism exists and is very prevalent. But I also think some examples people give are bogus.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As an Aussie adult, I hate myself because USA immigration doesn't think I'm good enough, I still cant figure out what's wrong with me

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Almost any human comparing themselves to some of the USA "citizens" publicised every day must wonder similarly.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's o.k. everyone does it. Some look and wish they had a mirror.

5 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 24

When I was a kid, I wished I was black... I just thought they were way better at everything.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

As a kid I wish I was fat. Thought they were tougher. Got my wish as a grownup, proving myself wrong.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Grass is always greener on the other side.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is in no way the same thing. But I understand the feeling. I tried to bleach off my freckles with lemon juice after being asked why 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I didn't look normal. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't see the shame in that, I think virtually everyone wishes they had it better in life and unfortunately it's worse to be black irl.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In an ideal world there's absolutely nothing wrong with being black or gay or a woman but our world is anything but ideal so I understand

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why people would wish those things away or wish for their kids to turn out straight or a man and why they want to adopt white babies. They

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aren't necessarily racist/homophobic/sexist they just want the best for their child and in this shit world that means straight white male

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's hard for me to accept that discrimination is so common that people wish they wasn't who they are. I know that shit is common, and I

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

hate that it's so common, I grew up knowing many people of different walks of life, different races, and despite all of that, I still view

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

everyone as equals, and the only time I hated someone, is when they themselves earned it. It's not how you look, it's the quality of your

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

personality and ethics.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That sucks, I'm not gonna pretend I know exactly what this kid is going thru but I know its terrible

5 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

I remember wishing I was different in many ways

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is one of the saddest things I read and I knew about this before too. I wish we could say to every kid “you are perfect as you are”.

5 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 2

I had a shirt that had a barcode on it that said built to universal specifications. That was my favorite shirt till it fell apart.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

frame it unless it’s gone. I’ve heard of people framing favorite old tshirts or converting them into something.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They wouldn't believe you.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It’s worth trying still.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll never fully understand that feeling. I can only try to empathize and do whatever I can to make sure future kids never have to feel it.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It's not only actual racism though, being black in a mostly white country is hard to understand for a child I guess

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

You’ve never heard of colonization have you?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Being X in mostly Y of anything is a challenge.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a black child it was easy to understand why I looked different. Harder to understand the first time I was called a n*gger

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Mixed race here. In asia I'm the evil whiteman they make fun of and in europe I'm a chink. Not as bad as your exp. But I didn't feel welcome

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In either areas. Kinda there but not really a part of the general culture/people

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

the amount of comments that are callous and uncaring really surprises me

5 years ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 14

Thing is...if people weren't callous and uncaring then this wouldn't be a problem anyone would be having.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

?? I'm seeing a lot of "I also felt that way because I'm different" kind of comments and not any negative ones.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really? The human race has been fucking terrible for thousands of years, and this year is no exception.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you preemptively make this comment before any appeared?

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

no, the top 3 comments when i posred the

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oops. when i posted this were basically saying other people had it worse or that everyone has this so suck it up

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're suprised? Really?

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

yeah, i try to see the best in people and imgur usually does a bit better than other places

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I can't believe it's [current_year] and we still have to deal with [problem]

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think wishing you were someone or something different is pretty common. Don't beat yourself up over it.

5 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 62

In a society that worships modifying yourself instead of being who you really are without changes, not surprising

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

The point: At sea level. You: At the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Yeah the cops will do it for you (I'm obviously joking, I feel for you @op. Don't let the world take you down)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I dont think they're talking about hating themselves for that.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Hey this is a deflection of a white person not seeing problems racism has had on BIPOC. Please read “White Fragility” thanks.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Why doesn’t this have more downvotes? They’re wishing to be white, not to be someone they aspire to. It’s completely different.

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 7

Because most of us wished as a kid to be taller, or cooler, to have bigger dicks/boobs, not have a vestigal tail, better teeth growing up.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

It's all insecurity. Sources just vary slightly. Mostly it's wanting to conform to 'normal'

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

When normal=white, there's a problem. Buck teeth and pimples are fundamentally different from skin color, dont pretend not to know that.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Agreed, it's a problem, but small minded to disregard/not understand all I said. Don't pretend not to know that is a petulant ad hominem.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

There's a difference between wishing you are not who you are and wishing you were Wayne Gretzky.

5 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 3

Not the same

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

We r talking about racism, not just insecurity

5 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 22

According to half the people in this thread, being psychologically impacted as a CHILD by a racist society is just 'low self esteem' lmaoooo

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

Just remember - Trump got voted into power... and the people who voted are on here. Expect idiots.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not sure why you are downvoted but the post was exactly about that.

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 4

I wished for a disease when I was young. I now have type 1 diabetes. Was a psychic? Was it dream? Who knows but that shit happened

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wished for the sweet release of non-existance. Sadly, nothing happend. Why do we must we suffer existance?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a kid I wished for being older. Now I am 47. Was I psychic? Was it a dream? Who knows but that shit happened

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's maybeline

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a mexican kid, I wished I was american. Either color was ok.

5 years ago | Likes 879 Dislikes 5

You know you are American, right? Last time I checked, America was a continent...

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Being poor sucks too, I remember praying for a better life so many times.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a European, I have declined becoming American multiple times.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a first generation Mexican-American I wished I was Spanish because I was ashamed of my culture and how dark my skin got in the summer.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And there are a whole lot of Americans now wishing they weren't American. Grass is always greener, I guess.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another Mexican here, used to believe the US was awesome, until I learned enough English to read their own news sources without translating1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then I realized that the US has a whole different can of problems I dislike a lot and would even grade worse than Mexican problems 2

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I still want to get out from Mexico, just not to the US, from the pan to the fire and all that stuff.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This country would really fucking suck if it was just a bunch of white people. Thank you for being here. America will not be one color. ?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an American, come on over. Anyone willing to work, contribute, and respect each other is welcome here in my book.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up and lived in Malaysia and Singapore. I wished I wasn’t white. I was caned for having brown hair accused of dyeing it. 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To this day, I wish the worst for both countries.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This is a great perspective to show people how being a non-white person isn’t the same for all ethnicities in America...

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yep. Even if we’re born here it’s still assumed we’re foreigners.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When i was a teen I was embarrassed when my mom spoke our native language in public. Now I'm embarrassed that I ever felt that way.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im so sorry. It's not fair.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As an American, I wish I was Canadian, eh?

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 4

Are you sorry?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

When Canada takes over the world, we'll all be sorry.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yes, sorry.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a Colombian mix I look white as fuck

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don’t tan my freckles run together, but my sister looks the part. I was always jealous of her

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a kid, i wish i wasnt bullied. Got me into depression eating

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As a white kid I had none of these thoughts. I’m sorry you guys had to

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Living on the US side, with cousins and in-laws on the Mexico side... the level of envy and misplaced animosity is staggering.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a latina, it was the same from me. I always dreamed of being blonde with green eyes and being born in the US.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As an American I wish I lived in Europe and could denounce my citizenship

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is a very under appreciated comment. Black people have it hard in US, there is no denying that. However if you take the rest —> 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 3

of the world in to account, all the poverty, war, death and torture, being black in America becomes a massive privilege. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 3

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Idk what you’re on about. But I’m black, I’ve been black in a lot of places, America has a lot of things but it also doesn’t have (1/2)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it also doesn’t have a lot of things (I would ascribe to a 1st world nation). But one thing it does have is the most insidious racism.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That I’ve ever experienced, with racism like America’s a lot of America’s amenities become moot for black folks. As they already are.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not saying you’re doing that, but lots of A holes use that logic to try and get black people to shut up and just accept our current systems

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

Yeah idk what OP was trying to achieve, someone was just sharing their life experiences and they went off trying to gaslight them.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Yeah idk what OP was trying to achieve, someone was just sharing their life experiences and they went off trying to gaslight them.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

As a Turkey born Kurd, I wished I wasn’t born. Listening to other people talk about how much they hate your kin without realising I was one.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

“Turkish”there are bad apples everywhere but i live in the eastern part of Turkey and most of people doesn’t care if you are Kurd or Turk

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You won’t see a segregation or discrimination like in the Usa over here. It’s not the same thing.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We don’t like pkk(terrorist organization according to the Usa too) because it wants to grab a piece of land of Turkey.Dont mix up two of em

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gonna show my ignorance here, is that common? And why? I know the discrimination is crushing but I didn't know kids thought this way

5 years ago | Likes 388 Dislikes 15

There is a gif about Black Kids choosing White dolls because the Black doll is ugly etc... Heartbreaking

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everybody that gets bullied or is the victim of racism regularly dreams of being someone else. Just to make the hate stop.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Think about media and movies. Think about the ratio of white to brown skin you saw. Think about the ratio in tons of classrooms. I always

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

noticed the pretty white girls I was a different color from. Knew it made me different. Didn’t care if other people cared. Wanted to fit in.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I think every kid does it at some point. Maybe its their teeth, their hair, their skin, their eyes. We all didnt like something about us

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think almost all kids experience self loathing. It's part of growing up.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 16

Yes. But when self loathing comes due to the color skin it is a problem.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And it doesn't have to apply to one skin color, as the comments have shown.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I could see this. I'm gay but I remember as a kid in high school I wished I was straight so I would be "normal"

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Fuck normal so much though. Seriously. I hope you don't feel that way any more.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When racism is so prevalent and entrenched that it seems more feasible to change your skin than change people's minds.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I wanted to be "normal" and fit in wherever I went.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm gay and I've definitely wished I was straight. Grass is always greener sort of thing in my experience. Just wanted a "simpler" life

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I've wished you were gayer.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

many have

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

wishing you were different for any reason is common in children. wishing for different weight, hair, nose, freckles, tan, boobs etc

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

https://youtu.be/nbkObXxSUus please watch. The hearbreaking part is how true this is so many decades later :(

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wished I was a boy because I thought they had life easier. It’s common to wish things were better for yourself.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was 14, my mom was in the bank and bought chicken for me to eat while she did stuff. Sat down on the curb and waited.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She had to explain to the staff that I was her kid and they didn't need to call the police

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For me anyways it was because I was around white more. And they made it a point to mention I was different. As a teen that really gets to u.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, when you know people will dislike or hate you for a thing, then you start to wish you didn't have that thing. Could be color, rich /1

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

poor, smart, dumb, certain cloth, the list goes on and on.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Asian here. Wanted to be white as a kid or at least have "white" features. Being the only non-white in your class is rough.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Children are more perceptive than most adults think - they just can't fully articulate or understand what they're experiencing. And it's ->

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

<- not hard to pick up something's wrong when you can't draw yourself and your family with the crayon labelled "skin color"

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For me think it stem from TV shows mostly white kids being cool not much representation of black kids

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

there’s always a token minority popular kid in most shows. Maybe after the 2000’s though, but they are white washed in a way, very weird

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a POC I can tell you sadly it is.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What people scoff at representation in media, that's the toll of black kids not seeing other black kids in the world.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

very complicated. but 1 of the reasons that in 1954 a small child looking at a dark skinned doll said it was bad.....

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

That court made the right decision. Which then took another 10 years to implement, if you consider it really implemented. I don't.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

For me it came from the bullying and racism of kids and teachers. So I kept wishing I had light skin, blond hair, no accent, and money.

5 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

By the way I moved to USA as a political asylee at 11. So I have black hair, brown skin, an accent, and my family struggled to get by.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My sister and I were bullied at school by teachers and other kids.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

When culture tells you what you are is bad/wrong whether through discrimination or stereotypes you start to wish you weren't

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

I'd say probably common for kids with low self esteem. you latch onto anything. I wished i wasn't white many times. Taller. Less ugly (1)

5 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 18

Hated my hair. Nose, eyes, voice. We don't (at least Americans) do much to help hurting kids. From racial discrimination to other (2)

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 4

Bullying. And it's sad.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Bullying in general hurts all of us, unfortunately it’s perpetuated by ignorance which allows it all to continue

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wished I was taller and played ball. I really wanted for a rabbit in a hat for some reason too.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So most media is white centric, as a white person you don't even notice until you see the importance black actors had in blk ppls lives

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's similar to kids who grew up poor wishing they weren't poor...except much worse because there is absolutely nothing to be done about 1/

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

skin color. It's similar but so much worse. 2/2

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has to do with low self-esteem and respect, according to the Clark study. The saddest part is the Clark study originally used the doll /

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Test in the 1940s while segregation was at it's peak and was used to help the Brown case and desegregate schools, but even now over 80 years

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Later you still get the same results. When asked which doll they want to play with, or which is the "nice" doll, most kids of colour still /

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pick the white doll over the black one. It's "better" and that's just heartbreaking

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In a society where it's common for people with lighter skin tone to be the ones mostly represented in the media, it's hard to appreciate 1/?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Darker skin tone. Especially when there's bad representation of people in the media with your skin tone. You're also stuck with racism 2/?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And prejudice towards you that you're not even aware exists but doesn't feel right at a young age. Parents have to take the time to to 3/?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remind their children to appreciate and love who they are, but parents are more worried about their children's survival. 4/4

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not black but I felt this way growing up and knowing I was gay. Can't count the nights I wished I wouldn't wake up or woke up smbdy else

5 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 3

It's funny. When I was a lid I wished I was black. Everyone in the 90s that was cool was black and all the kids in my school were black.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel that. I was raised fundamentalist and realising I was queer made me loathe myself. I didn't want it to be true. Sucked.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry you went through that.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Being black AND gay is fun. Gay people are no less racist than the gen pop. Black people are no less homophobic. Soo....

5 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 1

Trust me, I know. The gay community is very bad with discrimination. Not only black but feminine gays etc.

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Masc 4 masc. No asians, just a preference. :(

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, at least you both have masks

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's complicated topic. Self-loathing is common amongst people who experience disadvantages growing up. Racism creates disadvantages...

5 years ago | Likes 390 Dislikes 3

I grew up being a poor as dirt white kid.. i hated myself for being to poor to dress or act like the other kids

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Same with being poor or a minority. It's easier to hate existence the more of those you stack on one another.

5 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 0

Being poor resonated hard for me. I didn't want other kids to know, and we went to a nice school. But they all knew cuz of a racist fat kid.

It's all part of the reason the system needs to change. No once deserves that kind of experience.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Magical word called repression.. its not pretty.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some of it is just basic representation - Almost all depictions of "beauty" in media are white.

5 years ago | Likes 156 Dislikes 11

Reason's why I am happy they have diverse disney leads these days.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Theyre also unrealistically starved rich people with 7 personal trainers. Being white doesnt make them realistic for white people either

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Even the depictions of black women. have almost white skin. A lot of actresses and performers magically lighten as they become superstars

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

You also see this in China and India. Lighter skin color is preferred.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Saw a docu that in multiple marriage areas, light skinned are typically first wives, darker are fourth. Last is basically slave.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Weird in the US. But in EU makes sense. Africa is all black or should be at least. And asian in asia. Right?

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 25

Unfortunately, you'll notice even Africans and Asians trying to be more "white", bleaching skin, treating hair, eye surgery, etc.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

In Asia it somewhat depends. Thailand for instance, they try to be whiter, but only because if they have whiter skin it means they have a 1/

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Office job or a generally non labour related job. Which tends to mean they earn more money. So the whitening is more a socioeconomic/wealth

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah because there are no black people or asians in europe //s

True, but you wouldn't expect Japan to have tons of black people on their magazines, just like you wouldn't expect asians in an african one

Yes but it's a white country. Majority of the advertisement will have white people in it and representing their culture and race.

Far fewer than the US, see we slaved white people too and didn’t need to import slaves, we made them! We just hate the poor instead
