Ok, a little context here. We've had several occasions of young guys from a neighbouring house using our property to escape from police and I decided enough was enough.
These guys jump my fence and prowl around our house hiding from the cops. As you can imagine this scares my wife and children.
So I decided to put something on the fence to prevent them climbing over however barbed wire was too pricey, so I went with two inch nails spaced a few inches apart...and to make them a bit nastier I cut the heads off with wire cutters.

Let's see them try to climb over my fence again.
...and I'm not even sorry if they get hurt.

Hope you don't get sued.

Hay @swanui16 you can use some strong glue and broken glass

Ask your local police, They would probably love to help you. That however may end with a lawsuit.

I feel like somehow this'll get you sued. But whatever makes you happy and keeps the fuckers out of your lawn

If they try again, please post results!

Instant charges against you unless you can really sell the fear factor to the police (or judge if it gets that far).

Broken glass bottles works nicely too

I couldn't find anything in our Fencing Act that says this illegal, I might still talk to our local constable and see he says.

What State are you in? There's a good chance they'll be able to sue you for damages if they get hurt.

The houses behind us are Housing New Zealand owned so they are rented out to low income families. Usually the tenants are not a problem 1/2

2/2 but the current tenant has had a few problems with police
