EDIT: *CURRENTLY* UBER IS OFFERING FREE RIDES TO CERTAIN SECURED ZONES TO HELP PEOPLE GET HOME, TWO SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY, THE ORIGINAL PERSON OF INTEREST TURNED HIMSELF IN, HIGHWAYS HAVE NOW BEEN CLEARED DALLAS POLICE HAVE CONTACTED FBI AND ATF TO HELP SEARCH FOR ADDITIONAL EXPLOSIVES, A LOUD BANG WAS HEARD AT EL CENTRO COLLEGE, POSSIBLE POLICE RAID, THE FINAL ACTIVE SHOOTER HAS BEEN NEUTRALIZED, UNKNOWN WHETHER THAT IS DEATH OR SUBDUAL
THERE IS A BOMB WATCH RELATED TO THIS INCIDENT, A SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE WAS DISCOVERED NEAR A SUSPECT WHO ENGAGED IN A SHOOTOUT WITH SWAT OFFICERS, THAT SUSPECT HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST DEADLY SHOOTINGS, EL CENTRO COLLEGE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY (7/8/16)
11 OFFICERS SHOT, 5 KILLED, 3 IN SURGERY, 3 IN CRITICAL CONDITION, 1 CIVILIAN SHOT 2 SNIPERS FIRING FROM AN ELEVATED POSITION. SHOOTING BEGAN AFTER PEACEFUL PROTEST ENDED, CIVILIANS HAVE BEEN GROUPED TOGETHER BY POLICE, DART POLICE HAD CLEARED THE AIRSPACE AROUND THE AREA, CURRENTLY THE SCENE IS UNDER DALLAS JURISDICTION, SOON TO BE TAKEN OVER BY FEDERAL AUTHORITIES DUE TO BEING A MASS SHOOTING BY FEDERAL STATUTE, SOME SUSPECTS HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM CUSTODY
FOR THE FUTURE: Some items that are or will being discussed: will lone patrols (a single officer per car on patrol) continue, or is the threat high enough to warrant 2 officers per car. How will this influence peaceful protesters and protocol used by police to maintain the peace? Will this change how officers are outfitted, ie increased weaponry/armor in the short term? Will this cause a more urgent reform (if any comes to fruition) in how suspects/persons of interest/arrested individual are treated. Will this cause stricter or looser gun control?

*begin press meet* Mayor: White house and Feds has offered assistance
Police Chief: currently in negotiations with suspect, suspect has been exchanging gunfire with negotiators, looking for resolution plans, have in custody female near scene, pulled over car containing 2 black bags (believed to be explosives), suspect has told negotiators "the end is coming," he "will kill all of you (law enforcement)," and "there are explosives all over" the parking garage and downtown Dallas.
Mayor: tomorrow morning, still active crime scene, still determining the size. If you work in Dallas, please avoid the crime scene, which will be posted to dallascitynews.net tomorrow morning. Apologies if you work in that area.
Questions: Chief: Interrogation of suspects will continue, however there has been a lack of cooperation. The suspects likely had knowledge of the route the march (and law enforcement) would take. Social media has and will continue to be monitored to discover any prior planning and/or duplicity. *end press meet*
