My best friend of 7 years probably won't be around for another month

I adopted him about 7 years ago. He's been my daily walking buddy ever since.

Rain, snow. Doesn't matter. He wanted to go outside. And I always took him. It was my favorite part of the day when I got home.

He's got something seriously wrong with his prostate and is on medication but not eating very well ( lost almost a third of his weight in a month) and likely won't make it to the end of the month. Which is also my birthday so happy birthday to me.

He's laying next to me now and keeps trying to lick my face which just makes it harder.
