I know most of Imgur hates sob stories and this isn't one I promise...not a real sob story anyway. I just feel like i'm in rut that i'll never get out of. I live in New York City and I work a menial job in the field I hope to one day flourish in and advance to something greater where I don't feel like a glorified craft service girl. It also doesn't help that i'm single, a 24 year old virgin (which is most likely the reason most guys are just not interested), and all my parents ever tell me is that i'm not an adult let alone a woman because I don't like "womanly" things. I love comics, and awful cartoons, science fiction, television, I can quote more movies than I can even name and yet I'm starting to think that's the source of my problem. All my friends here are either broke or displaced and I feel awkward socially most of the time to even try and make new ones unless booze or weed is involved. So today i'm planning a pity party just for myself and getting this all out because i'm tired. Really fucking tired of being in this rut. I remember being a kid and wanting nothing more than to be an adult now I just want to go back.
