‘mom’ isn’t just checking that you are alright here. she is communicating that she cares. thanks mom. ‘dad’ doesn’t not care but men can sometimes have a harder time without an explicit permission structure to communicate it.(not all moms/dads/men etc and not always but definitely some sometimes)
