Opening a sealed copy of NES Classics: The Legend of Zelda

Nov 11, 2016 11:47 PM

Still in the plastic wrap.

I got hold of a brand new, sealed copy of NES Classics: The Legend of Zelda for GBA and decided to document my opening of it. Enjoy!

Freedom!

The game after being freed from being sealed for 12 years. Not in absolutely perfect condition, but hey, lying around for 12 years will do that to a game. Still in slightly better condition than my other sealed GBA game.

The other sealed game

One of my 7 copies of Bionicle Heroes. This one will never be opened!

First peak inside!

Back to Zelda! Here's the first peak inside. I found out that the manuals and such are in front of the cardboard inlay, not behind it.

The manual and other such things

Here's an image of the manual, safety instructions in a ton of languages and a little advertising for some other games. I've always loved those!

The manual

Remember manuals? I miss them so much!

The cartridge

Now we're getting to the good stuff! Fun fact for those who didn't know: GBA cartridges came in little bags.

Other side of the cartridge

Still in the bag. Love that simple label!

Out of the bag

And safely stored in a dust guard. Wouldn't want anything to happen to it.

The ad for other games -side one

One side features an awesome ad for Metroid fusion. Looks good enough to hang on the wall.

The other side

The other side is Sword of Mana. Also looks great.

Box and game

To finish off, here's the box and game.

Cat tax

Not mine, but I know him very well. His name is Fnuggi. He sheds like there's no tomorrow and makes my nose itch, but his fluffines is worth it.

Why the fuck would you need 7 copies of Bionicle?

Because I love Bionicle Heroes to death and there're 3 different versions of the game depending on your platform of choice

Why would you destroy a priceless artifact?

It would only be a priceless artifact if it were the original NES version.

Because good games deserve to be played

So Bionicles Heroes is not a good game?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is, but I have 2 other boxed copies of that game for GBA alone

Ahh, good thinking there
